Those who have been to TT Morning Madness...

We are staying offsite, and got a good deal at the Ramada Maingate. I can see about changing our reservations to being booked through Disney, and it's about $150 more, but we'd get TTMM tickets.
So, is it worth $150? Or should I just keep my fingers crossed that the list moves on the TTMM thread and I get some, and no big deal if I don't?
I have an 8 year old and 2 year old who are both obsessed with the Fab Five (We are so excited to see my 2 year old interact with Toontown since he was only 6 months old last time we were there!)

Hmm...the value of $150 more is hard to say. Can you book the package through Costco and get a character meal or something else in addition to the TTMM perks. Then it would be a no brainer for me. We went two different times by the way. The first time when my son was 3 was pretty cool, and he enjoyed it, as did the rest of the family. The second time when he was 5 was not as much fun (he was more shy). If your kids are really into the characters, then it is a fun experience and I would try to be able to do it.

Queen, We don't have a costco nearby, only Sams. But my mom is a costco member back home in Reno, NV and I could ask her to get me the details! Thanks for the idea!

ZeferJen, you were able to get them with only buying a the park tickets from them? We are AAA members, but I didn't even think about asking our local office about Land tickets (Since we're so close to World.) I might wander over there and see! If I could get them from only buying tickets through AAA, that would make it worth it!

I believe ZeferJen is referring to the AAA Passport Plus tickets that included the perks. Just any old ticket does not.

Please remember you don't get TTMM access by simply booking a hotel room through Disney. You have to book a PACKAGE, which includes hotel room AND tickets. This is often more expensive than booking a room and tickets separately. I don't think $150 is worth it.

If you really want to go to TTMM, it has been reported that you can buy $10 vouchers through the Walt Disney Travel Company in DTD. Each $10 booklet will include ONE admission to TTMM, so buy one for everyone in your group (the 2 year old won't need one).

This is what I was going to suggest.
As far as going to TTMM, are you interested in a smaller line for Mickey, or do you want to watch the little show they do?
Are you referring to your October trip Jacie? If so, I wouldn't worry too much about the tickets and would make sure I arrive at opening on a non MTTMM day. If you really want to see the show, etc then I would just buy the vouchers.

Yes, look into this. If it was a WDTC travel package that was $150 more, the Costco package will be exactly the same price, but it will give you a character meal for the whole family, a $20 Disney gift card, plus the extra passes and novelties that WDTC includes.

Those booklets sound very reasonable, and we are getting there that afternoon and not doing the parks, so we could easily walk to DTD for dinner and get them.

I just heard about this from another thread yesterday. Tell me...how does this work? Do you have to go to the counter at the store in DTD? This just seems to good to be true, KWIM?

I tried to do this in early March when I took our youngest and the girl was really rude to me in that office and told me we've never sold those books but people come in here looking for them saying they read about them online! You can't always believe what you read online. I really wanted them so we could go to Toontown early. It ended up working out because we did MM on a Saturday March 2nd and got into toontown when it opened, didn't see a ceremony, but it was pretty empty and stayed that way. My son had a blast, we saw the characters twice and by 11:30 wondered where all the people were and that's when we found out there had been a bomb scare and only the people who had gotten in for MM were in the park! Wish we had gone on other rides but we had a great time in toontown!!

I'm taking him again next week for his 6th birthday and will try the travel co again and see if I can find anything out. Also they close really early. I think it was 2:30 or 3pm.

I think it is a cute activity and sounds like your kids would love it. I paid more than $150 more for a package in 2009 so we could have all those package perks. I was glad to do it once for my kids, but wouldn't do it again. My kids would rather have an extra souvenir or face painting.

Chrissie, WDTC is the Walt Disney Travel Company. It is located basically at the end of DTD Disney on the left if you're walking away from the parks, across from ESPN Zone.
