Those using swagbucks ???

I made a $32+ purchase from Target earlier today hoping to get my 500 sb from shop and earn. I've gotten the order confirmation email but no pending or 500 sb credit yet. How long should I wait before I send in a ticket? I really don't want to miss out on $5.
The 500 SB bonus will credit when you receive your shop and earn credit. I made a $5 purchase from Eddie Bauer yesterday. The 10 SB are showing on my ledger and will credit in 31 days. On my SwagUps page, the 500 SB shop bonus is grayed out and shows "pending", and when I click on the little "i" icon, it says that the bonus will credit with the shop and earn credits.

Help me out...my brain is fried:crazy2:

I'm trying to figure out the best way to use my (3) 50 SB SwagUp rebates on $10 Virtual Visas to convert them into Disney gift cards. I was planning just to let them go, but that is silly:jester: because it leaves money on the table. Here's some of the ideas I am tossing around....

1) Get the three "cards" as "tokens" and then combine them into (1) $30 card. Then, I can use the card to buy a $25 Disney gift card directly from Disney (online) and I can use the remaining $5 to buy a Target gift card which I will simply add to my stash of other $5 FWP cards. When I get $25 worth, I add a Disney gift card to my (at least) $25 purchase of other stuff at Target and convert it that way.

2) Use the three cards to buy (3) $10 Target gift cards and use them to purchase Disney gift cards (using the method noted above), adding them to my $5 cards as needed. My next trip isn't for another year so I am in NO hurry.

3) Combine the three cards into (1) $30 card, buy a $25 Disney gift card directly from Disney online and then "buy" (load) the remaining $5 into my Amazon account to be used towards our grocery order. This idea is the least appealing because I am always worried that my credit will accidentally get used before the trip, even though I have it set up to default to my credit card and NOT use my gift card balance.

Any other ideas??
Maybe I can get lucky and earn a few more spins and hit (2) more 50 SB rebates! That would be easy because then I could get an even $50 and it would be a no-brainer decision:teeth:.

Mine said it had to be a $50 purchase

How would you combine the cards?

Others have said that they are getting their 500 sb as soon as their shop and earn shows as pending. Mine hasn't posted as pending yet, some times it takes quite a while to go to pending which is why I was asking how long I should wait to put in a ticket since the offer expires after 3 days. Very weird that people are having different experiences with this swag up.

How would you combine the cards?
After you redeem them from SB, you go to the VirtualVisa website and it asks you if you want to redeem for a Virtual Visa or a "token". If you redeem for a "token", it's basically banking your value so that you can redeem multiple "tokens" at once to combine them into a single "card". I have never actually done it, but I know that it is an option.

From the Virtual Visa FAQ's....

What is a Prepaid Digital Token?
A Prepaid Digital Token is a 14-digit alpha-numeric code. A Token is given to you as a reward or payment for an incentive, promotion, or other type of approved program, and will usually be embedded in an email link. When you click the link or enter a valid Token, you can choose from various prepaid card products approved for the program.
What does ‘Save for Later’ mean?
When choosing your card, you may see an option that allows you to save your Prepaid Digital Token for later. This option saves your token so you can combine the value of that token with other tokens at a later date to get one card for a larger value. You can view or combine your Saved Tokens by logging in and clicking on ‘Saved Tokens’. Be sure to notice the expiration date of the Prepaid Digital Token, because expiration still applies to saved tokens.

...so you can either redeem your token for a $10 Virtual Visa or choose the "save for later" option and then combine them later for a single, larger card.

...and I earned some more spins and now I have (6) 50 SB SwagUps:sad2:

1 and 3 are your only options, you can't buy a Dis gc with a Target gc any more.

I don't actually "buy" the Disney gift card with the Target gift card. I buy at least $25 worth of groceries and then add a $25 Disney gift card to my cart. That way, in my mind, I am using my free gift card to buy the Disney gift card, when in reality, I am using the free gift card to buy my groceries and my RedCard is buying the Disney gift card.

there's a fee to combine your tokens, so you won't have 30 on the final card. Min $1, Max $5, I think it's a 5% fee. So best case on a combine is $29, but I think you'd be looking at $28-ish on 3 $10s, if that sways you.

So the SWAGO board is due at 12:00 a.m. on 12/30.....so this means midnight tomorrow? So I can still try to fill the remaining squares all day tomorrow?

I was going to post this - thanks for breaking down the costs.

To add, the fees wipe out the savings of the Swagups, so combining isn't a good option. Best use is getting three $10 visas and using them to buy Amazon GCs. Otherwise, just convert to Paypal and use that to buy GCs at Best Buy, BJs, or Sam's, depending on your best ROI.

they do charge when you combine. I thought it would be a good idea so I backed mine and when I tried to combine it wanted to charge me $5 or you can keep the as the original value with out combining fir free.

My thought of an okay use for the Visa Swagup rebates would be if you're buying from Sam's online anyways... You should be able to use up to 4 of them on an order. Maybe that works for someones situation.

Definitely have to weight the situation, I plan to look at it later in the week... I've got enough for my $25 gift card which I get for Walmart/Sam's anyways... $10 Visa is net 940sb with swagup... so slightly ahead of cashing out to Paypal, but I have 2 credit cards offering 5%/5x points at Warehouse stores right now...

I’ve redeemed for 2 visa gift cards in the last week and neither swagup worked correctly. I got credit for the first one (150 sb back on $25) about a day after submitting a ticket. Last night I did one of the 50 sb back on $10 and it didn’t credit either. Just submitted another ticket this morning. I really like that these swagups are on the wheel this time. So much better than getting swagstakes entries or 3x on swag iq wins (I’ve only won twice, so not likely to happen before this expires). I just wish they’d work without a hassle.

Technically 12:00am on 12/30 is midnight tonight. As soon as it hits 12:00am it is the next day, so I'd plan on it ending tonight so you don't miss out.

A couple points about the Virtual Visa's that SB keeps pushing -

1. The tokens DO expire. If you don't redeem for a Visa card before the expiration you just lose out. Looks like at least 3 months based on the Month it was created - my one from Sep expired 12/31/18, the one I ordered couple weeks later in Oct expired 1/31/19. So don't forget about banked tokens. The Visa card itself has a 6 month expiration.

2. As we were just discussing, banking a token doesn't have any fees but if you want to combine banked tokens there is a 5% fee to do so, with a minimum fee of $1 and a maximum fee of $5. Once you bank a token you can still redeem it for a single Virtual card for no fee so you are not obligated to combine them even if you banked them. You can order a physical card for an additional $5 fee.

3. There were some comments in the SB redemption page that the virtual visa's didn't work for MGCP (although I don't know why). I used a $25 one this morning to buy a $25 GC to finish Swago and worked like usual. I don't see anyway to do a split payment on MGCP though so you'd be stuck ordering for less than or equal to whatever denomination VV you ordered. Maybe that was part of the issue? IDK

Thanks for the info regarding the fee to combine tokens. That would have caught me off guard and now I have to rethink my strategy. I think, in the overall picture, I will come out ahead by simply letting go of the SwagUps. Here's my reasoning...

I can cash out 2175 SB (which is what it has been for the last 2 months, 2200 SB at the most) for a $25 gift card on Nov 1 for my "once-a-month" discounted card. I can repeat the process on Dec 1 to bring my total to $50 at a cost of 4350 SB. If I opted to use the Virtual Visas with the SwagUps (purchased individually) to acquire (5) $10 Virtual Visas, I would spend 990 SB on each (4950 SB) and receive 250 SB back for a net cost of 4700 SB.

So...at this point, I don't see any reason to use up my SB to buy the discounted Virtual Visas when I can save myself 300-350 SB by using my SB to redeem for the monthly discounted gift cards.

Am I missing something??

I see there is an option for a physical card with the visa. Does that cost to redeem it that way?
