Now that you pointed it out, the anticipation is killing me. Every time a post comes in I wonder, "did we do it, is this the one?"
We're thisclose to 1000 pages!!

Do any of you ever read the banter in these competitions?
I mean, I guess I never considered Swagbucks to be a source of 'income' but some people are just plain angry! I'm glad that no one (or no one that I've seen) is so angry here....I love that we all jump in and help each other and accept the glitches and unreliability of the site. I think it's a fun way to save money for vacation, but in reading the thread on my teams competition...yowzah!![]()
This one and the credit card one have changed our travel habits dramatically over the past few years. Can’t say how much I’ve appreciated all of the support and advice!Best thread I have ever been a part of!!!
I read through to find tips or discover offers that are crediting, but most of the time I ignore the rest. Although to be fair I have been on a few teams where there was a lot of positive energy and useful comments and I kinda liked reading through those. But then I've been on others where it's like reading the Daily Poll comments... I still don't know why I do that to myself honestly. I get that some people are on disability or hit a bad stretch and this is their income, but still, I'm with you, so much negativity. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt because reading text doesn't always give the emotion of the writer, but some posts leave no doubt and I feel bad for those folks. Yowzah is right.

Don't feel you have to start at the beginning... jump right in with questions! Everyone is super helpful, it's basically my favorite thread to read now![]()
so just the cliff notes version....is it more than just earning points/miles/dollars on what you spend? i guess i wasn't sure what this thread was about because i already have a target red card, discover, and disney chase visa. i'm not always the best manager of my money, so i don't really need another excuse to use my credit cards.......
there's a little more but I think that's the gist of it. There's lots of knowledgeable folks on there for best ways to spend points or miles to get the best value and sharing other travel hacks to save cash money on trips by using points or at least using your card perks to the fullest. But a lot of it is chasing credit card bonuses for points and what's the best credit card to use to maximize your every day spend to make the next trip cheaper.
But it's not a game I'd recommend to get into until you can feel confident of paying off all your cards every month or otherwise avoiding interest and unnecessary fees. If you pay interest or fees then it negates some or all of the savings and there's not any point in doing that.
I second that! This one and the credit card one have changed our travel habits dramatically over the past few years. Can’t say how much I’ve appreciated all of the support and advice!

Usually once it ships or the vendor completes it. I made an Etsy purchase on 4/12, got the email from SB on 4/14 that is was pending. The nice thing about Etsy was it only went pending for a couple days before it was credited (4/17). So timing will vary by store. I got one from Amazon once where I received the shipment the day before it went pending on Swagbucks.![]()
