Anyone ever get those surveys that ask to access your webcam so they can track where your eyes go? And do you allow that?

Yes I get those surveys and NO I don't allow that.

They are a little weird but not bad. You see what they will when they test the camera. The videos are often boring or not funny imo. I've also done group video chats from a survey. You could see everyone in the chat like the brady bunch, everyone in their little box.

My webcam has never randomly turned on and I'm not worried about them any more than giving my address for a product test.

Malware can be placed on your computer which allows you to be "watched" even when you aren't aware of it. There is no amount of SB worth this. SB has already proven they use/allow malware/adware (just install their swagbutton and look at your system processes).

Swagbucks doesn't run the surveys they are just one portal these survey companies use. Survey companies that need us or they wouldn't have to pay for the data collection.

I've been doing surveys for various survey sites like swagbucks, erewards, viewpoint, global test market, pinecone and others for over 15 years and have never had an issue. Have the apprpriate software to block the bad stuff, mine has been blocking something from watch or ncraves, but that's swagbucks, not the survey providers.

Life on the internet is one big sliding scale of privacy vs benefit. I think we've come to learn that there is no company or institution out there that can guarantee your information will remain safe and private. Sooner or later, hackers will get access to it, despite your best efforts because there are places you absolutely *must* let have this information and their systems will (or already have been compromised). The essence of what I'm saying is that if you want something "private", don't let it be stored electronically.

So with sites like these, I'll share information that is already obtainable from a variety of sources, but nothing further.

I don't think this necessarily answers your question, but I, for one, don't want to give you advice you may regret one day. Every decision to share information online (including on what to post on a public forum!) is one I think everyone needs to decide for themselves.

I do this all the time. Usually I do 3 $50 gift cards to pay. Not sure if you are worried about the card flip itself or the denomination you are using...neither should be a problem. You'll have $6 or 7 something left on the card so don't forget to keep track.

I had a deal on sb to sign up for a free trial of texture and get 200sb. It does require a cc or paypal info and to cancel within the 7 days of the free trial. I signed up and got the 200sb within 10 minutes. I've read magazines on texture before, I had a free subscription. There are a lot of magazines on it, so if you and/or your family read a lot it could be worth the 14.99 a month. I get a lot of magazines already from free print subscriptions, so I won't be keeping this, just needed the sb. Busy morning and we're having our electric box changed this afternoon so now power for about 4 hours, this was an easy way to help me get to almost get to my 2nd goal.

Is anyone else having an awful time with the apps? It keeps locking up and saying "Please rotate your device." Is there a way to position my ipad so this won't happen?

Yes - it's been a huge PITA.

My only consolation has been that LTG and nGage have been kinder to me the past couple days.

I haven't cancelled it yet but just looked and you can cancel it on their website.
