Those using swagbucks ???

Has anyone tried contacting the company offer the bonus? If that company isn't paying SBs for the referral, then SBs isn't going to pay out. Maybe contacting the other company might help.

In my case, SB *did* pay out! I received the 1500SB's in my account about 3 days after I placed my order. Then when I hit 2200, I cashed them in. About a week later, my account was showing -1100ish because they (SwagBucks) took back the SB's stating that I did not complete the offer. I'm now fighting to get them back because I have sent them everything shy of my credit card statement to PROVE that the offer WAS completed. It's so frustrating!

Are you not allowed to refer family members?

You can refer family members. Using the same devices is what might get the account banned. If she used different devices she should be okay with a referral.

One person I know did. They haven't heard anything from the company.

.

OK Thanks. That makes sense. Maybe DD will just join another site like MyPoints or similar.

So I'm getting close to the $50 gift card mark, and I've got another question... is it wiser to do 1 $50 target gift card or 2 $25's, thus saving me 600 sb's, but then having to use 2 codes on target.com to get 1 $50 Disney gift card...

What've you guys done when redeeming to "make the most of it"...

Aw, I've done Swagbucks since 2008 or so. I've slowed down in my obsession of it but I've totaled a lot of Amazon gift cards, at least $1000 in total. And I didn't do credit card offers either. Nowadays, I just check every few days and make...maybe $15 a month. I never thought about using it to pay for Disney, though. I'm not sure how I would do that but I'm wondering if it's more worth it to save my points for Disney or for Amazon Christmas money for family and friends.

You can combine Target gift cards online so that you can cash out at $5 if you want to and just add them until you reach $50. That is what I used to do because there are so many reports of people getting their accounts closed for no reason and losing any stored points. In fact that happened to my husband and son because they have the same name (except my son is junior) they closed both their accounts and we lost all their points and the gift cards that I had redeemed that had not come yet because they said it was against the rules for one person to have multiple accounts. I tried to get customer service to be reasonable and offered to send them any documentation they would need to verify that they were two separate people, but they would not reverse the decision. Now I save up each month for the $25 for 2200 points then cash out at $5 for any that same month.

I have just passed my 1 week anniversary of joining swagbucks and I am already able to cash out for my FIRST $25 Target card! :yay: Each day has gotten easier as I've found ways to work swagbucks into my daily routine. It doesn't feel challenging or difficult anymore, but rather an efficient and worthwhile mini-project! I am so excited to estimate what my final total could be for swagbucks earned by the time we reach our next WDW trip in Sept of 2016!!!!

THANKS SO MUCH to everyone here for being supportive and encouraging! :thumbsup2 I literally couldn't have done it w/o you guys... probably would have given up on day 2 or 3! For a very long time now I've always found the Budget Board to be absolutely true to it's "mission statement": "Learn the 'in and outs' of smart earning, saving, and spending your money. Our motto: 'Any dollar saved or earned is another dollar for Disney!'
I've learned so many valuable tips that have translated into hundreds of dollars saved or earned for our WDW trips!

There are other sites, too, so now that you've got the hang of it, check out a few others! It's fun, and those gift cards add up quickly.

Curious. What other sites do you use?
I do Perk. I just set my old phones up in the morning and the points pile up like magic! I net about $50-$75 per week, depending on how attentive I am to the phones during the day and evening. However, I have 15 devices running. If you have one phone and you also do SB on it, you won't do anywhere near as well.

Marionnette - question for you on Perk....I've got 7 devices running it...do you find one app nets better than the others? I've got 5 running Perk TV and 2 running Pop Quiz. But think I do better with the Pop Quiz and should switch it around. Just curious how you run yours. I average $15 a week. Curious how you have your 15 set up to net $50-$75. Thanks for all your tips you have provided on the board!

You can only get 1 discounted $25 card a month. So if you are making more than that then I suggest cashing out at every $5 or $10. I save up for the $25 one then move on to the small ones. When doing Target cards I add them to the app and I used to go everytime I had $50, but not that Target carries $100 cards I am waiting till I reach that before redeeming them at Target. But I put the codes on my app right away.

5 running PPQ (1 pt, per round if run passively, more if you answer questions and are correct). 5 running Perk TV Live! (switching 4 to Perk Screen videos when the ads run out). Those net 2 pts. per video. 5 running Perk TV (1 pt. per video). I also have Perk Screen installed on my regular cell phone so that I accrue points for unlocking my screen and I will run the videos on it in the evening.

At first, I was skeptical about Perk but I've been doing it since December and I've magically earned over $1500 in GC with not much effort on my part without doing a single referral or having family members sign up in order make multiple accounts.

Oh, and if you're running PPQ, make sure that it is set in lightning mode. It runs faster that way. On Perk TV (not Perk TV Live!), set the videos to low bandwidth so that they don't slow down your internet.

YEAHH!!:cool1: SwagBucks returned the 1500SB's back to my account! I had confidence that it would work out in the end, but now that my balance is positive again, I am ready to get back at it!

For those who use their Target gift cards to purchase Disney gift cards..... Do either of these carry expiration dates? Our next WDW trip is not until Sept 2016.

Nope, no expiration on Target or Disney gift cards:sunny:...Our trip isn't until October 2016 (well, not counting the one this year....but I have all my GC's for that trip already acquired:flower:)

GRRR>:(...Target is trying to charge tax on the gift card again:badpc:! I will try using my phone and see if that works...this is getting really frustrating and I wonder how many people have added gift cards to other orders and not realized that Target is charging sales tax on the gift cards?

EDITED: Well, the mobile app is also charging tax! C'mon, Target! Get it together!

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever been able to fully fund their Disney trip through gift cards? I started using Swagbucks last fall and cashed out for a $100 Amazon card which we used to purchase a Prime Pantry box to be sent to AKL when we stayed there. I'm reading this thread sort of conjunction with the thread on using your Target card for 5%. I also Shopkick, which is a great way to earn Target gift cards. Has anyone ever been able to fully, or even halfway(!), fund their whole trip through a combination of Swagbucks, Shopkicks, Target 5% off, and giftcards? I'd love to take another trip to Disney and have it paid for through gift cards! :)
