Right now I've been cashing in for Paypal. Which then gets transferred to my vacation checking account. Some people have problems with paypal but I never have.

I've only been causally swagging the past few weeks due to our vacation. Are all apps now capped at 18 each per day? Are all the apps besides EN and SBTV 15 videos per 2 sb?

So much has changed since I started SB in January.

I used to get Amazon cards but now I get Paypal. With the money in PP I get discounted Target cards (giftcards dot com usually has them for 5-6% off) which I then use to get Disney cards - I buy them online and get 5% off (have the RedCard). The Disney cards come out 10% off +/- :thumbsup2

If you get Paypal as a reward, I'm assuming that means you get $25 deposited into your Paypal account? Can you then transfer that to your bank account or can you only use the $25 for Paypal transactions?

Thanks for the info; I'm trying to decide which reward to get because I'm almost to 2500 Swag Bucks!

Once you get money in a Papal account it is yours to do with whatever you want.

No one has any control over any funds in Paypal except you!

Hope that helps....

That's what I do I get $25 put it in my paypal, then transfer it to my checking account. I then transfer that to my "special vacation" account. I will use the cash for food or shopping. I was nervous about using paypal and my checking account but so far so good. BTW I use a 2nd checking account I have so this isn't my main one for bills and stuff

Just remember you can earn as much as you want, but according to IRS rules, once you reach $600, they are supposed to report your earnings to the IRS and you will be paying taxes on them.

Read into that whatever you want! :thumbsup2

Actually, you are required to self-report any amount earned on your taxes - even if it is only a few dollars. SB is required to submit a 1099 to the IRS if you exceed $600.

Too many people spread the word that you don't have to pay taxes if you stay below $600. Will you get caught if you don't? I doubt it, but not sure if risk it.

Agreed. My point being, at the $600 mark, there are no options. There will be a "paper trail".

Yes forgot to mention the $600. I've made $250 so I will have to report that? What is the tax law on giftcards??? I also do shopkicks and get giftcards.

Before you REDEEM for $600 they will send you a W-9 to complete, you will not be allowed to redeem again until they receive this.

I see, I will be close to that by the end of the year. I'll probably just quit at $595 then and just perk.

Perk should also send you tax forms if you reach the $550 - $600 range also. As should each rewards program you do, including credit cards.

When did they start doing this? Last year I made just over $800 from Swagbucks and I never got anything. This year will be about the same again. Still haven't gotten anything. Do I report it? Yes, because I don't want a stupid IRS letter coming saying I am be audited.

I do know people that have made over $1000 per year from Swagbucks and have never gotten a W-9 and they don't claim it.
