Those using swagbucks ???

New question now...my husband just asked me if Swagbucks are considered taxable income and frankly I really don't know the answer, LOL...has anyone here ever paid taxes on their swagbuck earnings before?

Any outside income is considered taxable. If you earn more than a certain amount (I think it's $600 but I'm not sure), SB will want your SS# so that they can send you a W2 for your taxes. But even if they don't, you are still obligated to report the income.

I'm not a tax expert, but I would believe that yes, it is taxable income.

That said, Swagbucks is only required to send a 1099 once you've earned at least $600 in a year. Do with that what you will.

I started SBs in 2014 and only did it for a little bit and then stopped and and started up again last summer, and between 2014 and 2015 my total SB earnings is like $400, so I think I am probably ok then, lol...might have to pay taxes next year if I continue with SBs this year but for now I think I am good

Do these show up on credit reports? I know it's a debit card, not a credit card, but still... I went into my account online and canceled it, just in case.
I only did the 1st page. They didn't ask for SS# there. I don't believe it could show up on ur credit report w/o SS#.

Today was easier than I thought. I got 46 from AdGate Media: meetinvest and then 22 for signing up for a diabetic thing and 35 from a survey.

No one I am sure on this thread is an actual employee so there is no w-2. Now I used to mystery shop and entered into a 1099 agreement as a contractor with the companies I mystery shopped. We are not contracted nor employees of swag bucks.

You are right, the form would be a 1099-Misc. I have never made enough to know, but I have heard others say SB does not send them out. However, other earning sites, like Perk and Viggle, do send them if you go over $600. They will send a form asking for your SS# so they can send you the tax form.

My understanding is that Swagbucks does not send them out because of the variety of ways you could earn. SB's you earn from shopping should not be taxable (as far as I know) as they are considered rebates. SBs you earn from the apps, searching etc would be taxable.

I got a prompt today to take a "5 minute survey for 50 SB". It had me watch a commercial that was about the flu vaccine and then asked me all kinds of questions about a TV show called Apres Ski. The questions had nothing to do with the ad I watched but they did credit me right away.

I got the same one! So weird. At least I knew what the show was to answer the questions.

Odd Question. So I did shop and earn for the third time. 1st 2 times, no problem- showed up as purchased and how many credits I would get. Now it shows I made a purchase and how much it was for but no pending swagbucks. Will the swag bucks eventually appearing as pending, or will I have to do a ticket? It was for over 1600 swag bucks plus an additional 500. Also a 100 swag up.
It was Hickies 50 SB per dollar, save 30%, and spend over 30 get an additional 500. So if it did correctly I should get 4 pairs of Hickies for about 10 with free shipping. But I have a feeling it will not credit right.

I got that too but I saw the commercial for apres ski (which I watch).

If it has been more than 7 business days, I would send a ticket. Shop and Earn is terrible.

So tell me about Lifescript. I've seen it mentioned before, but I don't remember what the deal is. I've seen mention of deleting history before completing an offer.

I saw TTG this morning when I was on my tablet, but I can't view SB's videos on it. Other video types work, but not flash.
