Those that have stayed on site, favorite off-site hotel?

Wow, so you have stayed a ton of places, where have you liked the best?

I don't know if I have an off site hotel that I like the best yet. We like different things about each. We have a larger family (2 adults, 4 kids) so we like choosing a suite hotel that includes breakfast. We find that really helps with the budget. Embassy suites is our hands down favorite for that because of the made to order omelettes and I think they have a great ambience in their lobby area. But the tradeoff is that it's not within walking distance. Hojo's doesn't offer a free breakfast, but they're within walking distance and offer free parking and we like the family suites. I think the pool area at Hojo's is better than the pool area at PPH. We liked the Springhill suites for the new clean rooms and location, but wish they had a bigger pool. I guess I'm picky and want it all! Many times, it will just come down to who has the best deal.

How does PPH rate next to your fav off site?

The room theming at PPH is bright and cheery and I like having interior hallways. The walk, even though just as far as some of the harbor hotels, didn't feel as long because you're walking through Downtown Disney and then you can cut through the lobby of the Grand Californian. The early entrance is a really great perk, many people think it's worth every penny. We enjoyed our stay there, but I remember saying to my husband, the PPH is really not much different than any other hotel out there. I have a hard time justifying their prices that are 3 times as much as what we can pay elsewhere.

The Motel 6 well you quickly understand why your paying so little......

Really? What did you think was so terrible? I've stayed there, and I really liked it. Love that is has wooden floors, rather than carpet, so it feels much cleaner than other, more expensive motels we've stayed in. Sure it's basic in terms of in room amenities, but it's got a good pool, a great really hot hot tub, and it's clean. I can bring my own coffee maker etc and for $80 a night it's hard to beat the price.

@ilovelucydog123: The new Springhill Suites is located at the corner of Katella and Harbor, right across the street from the 7-11. There is a good sized CVS pharmacy (that sells groceries and sundries) on the ground level.

@debdreamsofdis: The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is located along Katella, but further west, going toward the Convention Center. The CVS and the CB&TL are on opposite ends of the hotel on Katella.

One of the issues I have with the CVS being right at the Springhill Suites was every time we walked there we found stuff we just had to get to snack on LOL which we wouldn't have otherwise. Also I found their housekeeping not that great. We stayed there 3 weeks after opening and our room wasn't very clean at all and another thing is having two TVS on the same wall and being able to see them both and hear them both at the same time was pretty annoying. Our room had a bad lay out. The breakfast area had lines way to long to go to .

I have Stayed at all The onsite hotels and plenty of the off site. I like different ones for different reasons. The Anaheim Marriott convention center great location, very nice pool and bar area but parking is 24.00 a night. The Hyatt I have never had a bad stay and although it is down further they are close to Target, Red Robin, Outback, Joes Crab shack and Oggis, The Candy cane has a great location (free parking, Free wifi, free breakfast & free shuttle) and we have stayed there since I was little but I think it needs a little redo of the rooms but it has a small family feel which I like. The Fairfield Inn is a good location parking at times can be a challenge. The rooms have always been clean and you have a nice view of DL from the walk ways but they do have travelers who are bused in so it can be busy. The Springhill suites (the one with the cvs) was just ok but location is a bonus. Residence in down on Harbor closer to Target is great for larger families as they offer meals in the evening, free breakfast, have a bbq pit, sports court, pool and is close to all the same area as The Hyatt. Marriott Anaheim Suites is in the same location but the more I stay the more I have been finding wrong with it but it is good for larger families. I LOVED the Ayers Inn not walkable you have to drive but very much worth it. I haven't stayed at it's sister hotel Ayers hotel which is in the same parking lot but is older. The Ayers Inn is newer and very nice. Hope this helps.
