One souvie I definitely want to get for my girls are the mouse ears with their names on it. Are they available pretty much everywhere? Do they make them while you wait? How much do they cost these days? I got mine over 30 years ago, so I have pretty much no recollection. I definitely want to budget for this!
Thanks everyone!!!

Thanks everyone!!!

I got DD's at the Chapeau Shop on Main Street in the MK. IIRC, the ears were $11 or $12. Getting the name stitched on was supposed to be a couple dollars extra, but the CM saw my DD's birthday button (we were getting the ears on her 5th birthday) and told me the personalization is free on the child's birthday. I'm not sure if that's an all-the-time policy or if the CM was throwing a little Disney magic our way. It was before the current "celebration" promotion. They stitched the name while we waited. It took about 10 or 15 minutes because there were a few people ahead of us waiting for their hats.

HTH!

The Chapeau place on Main St also has a make your own ears thing, which is a fun thing for kids to do. They can pick out the hat and the ears and then they assemble it for them, and can put the name on the back. Lots of different colors and designs to pick from.

We got ours at the Chapeau shop on main street MK. Not sure where else you would find them. The Chapeau shop had tons of hats to choose from and it was fun watching CM stitch their names on the back. My DD has a long name, 8 letters, and I was concerned that it wouldn't fit...... but no worries, it fit just fine!:thumbsup2

The hats are everywhere, but there are only certain places that do the embroidery. In addition to the Chapeau, I know they also do it back in the ToonTown princess tent. My DD saw the Minnie ears on the Pink Hat at a cart out in Fantasyland and had to have them right then. I meant to get her name stiched on them later at one of the other places, but I never got around to it.

My kids always get their hats on Main Street as well. They have a "make your own" area with ears, bases, decals, etc and then you get the name embroidered with a choice of basic or fancy stitching. Of course the fancy stitching cost more, but the basic is just fine for my kids. You also get to choose the color of the stitching as well. My son got his first ears with his first haircut on Main Street last December. It has First Haircut embroidered on it....so cute! I love getting the Mickey Hats for my kids. I never got to Disney as a child so seeing them wear the hats in pictures is priceless to me...even though they do take up some shelf room in their closets after the trip:goodvibes
