Those Refillable Mugs

OK, all you experts. This is not a question on whether using a past purchased mug to refill is right, wrong, or indifferent, it is simply this. There are two styles of mugs, one that fits into a cup holder pretty good and the other much bigger. The question is.....Do they hold the same amount of liquid????? Just because the bigger one looks like it might hold more...does it really? Anyone willing to take on this very important mystery???

they both hold the same amount. One is shorter and wider, the other is taller and thinner.

Thanks.....The bigger ones are just real cumbersome in the car while the tall, skinny ones fit in the cup holders just perfect.

Can I say that we are getting so pumped up for our first Christmas at Disney. Got to find a festive hats for all of us and just have a blast.

a cm at pop century told me that the one that appears smaller (made to fit in car cupholder/taller, skinnier) actually holds approximately 1/2 oz more than the other... but the other (shorter, wider) has a removable bottom and ice water (or hot water) can be put in there to keep your beverage at its desired temperature longer...

don't know if either of these tidbits are true, just what i was told... (i didn't do the measuring test, and did not buy the shorter one so could not test that either)

We take the bottoms off the larger mugs and put our room key inside when we are at the pool.

No you can't refill it at the parks. It is only good at your resort.

The large mug from the Animal Kingdom Lodge does not have a removable bottom. I just looked at our mugs from this past may and the big mug held more than the small. Keep in mind that the AKL mugs are a little diffrent. My mugs from POR hold about the same, the little one holds just a tiny bit more.
