I just got one of the elusive 40% off codes the other day and was excited to try and plan an all girls trip to the GF in September. We are wanting to stay in a standard concierge room. Good thing our dates are flexible!
My oldest daughter will be in third grade next year so I am trying to minimize the days she would have to miss - this meant going over a weekend. We wanted to stay 4 nights so this meant either a Wed-Sun, Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues stay.
I sat on the phone for over half an hour on 2 occasions trying to find a combination of days where the discount would apply all four days.
After trying all Fri-Tues combinations for available dates in Sept and Oct (around 6-7 different weekends) I sheepishly asked the CM if she minded checking more dates. She was very nice and said that was fine - I guess she gets a lot of this.
Finally, after working backwards through October and September, I was able to get Sept 3-7 with the discount
I do not understand why Disney can not come up with a system that can show what dates are available at what rates so that the CM's don't have to spend hours trying different combinations of dates to get the best price. It would certainly save the CM's making the reservations and guests a lot of time.
I have been to many hotel websites that will pop up what dates are available on a little month by month calendar. I would think a similar system would be helpful for Disney.
Anyway, just glad they had what I was looking for - just wish it hadn't taken over an hour to work out.

Of course that was off subject but I think Disney should be able to do that at least online & by phone. Marriott does it at least for St Thomas in the USVI
