I have not planned on riding too many rides because we will be at WDW with two young children, but I am interested in experiencing the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster in MGM but worried that my BPPV will be affected and ruin my trip :sad2: . Anyone else have problems with BPPV and this ride?

TIA!

What does BPPV stand for?

I think this is a condition I had a few years ago...is it a positional vertigo? If so, you are turned upside down and go through a couple of corkscrews on RRC, so more than likely your BPPV will be affected. Depends on how severely it affects you and for how long afterwards. I learned to expect it on coasters and rides. What unnerved me was experiencing it while driving!

My condition was resolved by a single PT appt. with someone trained in this specific area. Perhaps yours can be resolved through PT prior to the trip.

And if BPPV means something else....ignore everything I said! ;)

Sorry ... it is positional vertigo.

I have had 2 therapy sessions and have not had a reoccurence (sp?) since October or November. What I was thinking was that I would ride the ride on one of our last days and perform my at-home exercises in the hotel. The only problem is that if I am affected immediately, I won't be able to get off the ride, I'll be so loopy ...

As much as I would love to try a ride, if I had a medical condition that might be aggrevated by it, I would skip the ride. I just couldn't chance being ill on vacation for a few seconds of fun.

I know the first time I went on a roller coaster after it resolved, I was worried I would somehow cause it to come back. (I was really concerned about Mission Space.) It's been about 3-4 years now and I've not had a recurrence despite being tossed around on roller coasters (and MS).

Have a great time no matter what you decide to do!!!
