We will be in WDW next Thursday. I should be so excited, but, like prior to our last two trips, I'm losing my excitement. I'm not feeling anxious as much as I'm feeling depressed. Is it because the planning is over? Is it because the trip will be over soon, and then I won't know what to do with myself? I have the usual, normal worries if the dog/house will be okay (my parents are taking care of all of that, so I really have no reason to worry), but still. I definitely have spurts of excitement, but I'd prefer to have those more often than my bouts of depression. Anyone else in the same boat with me?

Maybe I'm already thinking about the fact that I'm going to have to say goodbye to Disney World again. I really hate that part. :rotfl:

That happens to me too! I think I enjoy the anticipation and planning as much if not more than the actual trip.

On a different note, I think our daughters are almost the same age. Hannah was born on September 13th. Is yours close?

Yes, I think the planning is part of it! I love it so, so much, and invest wayyyy too much time into it. But I definitely can't help it, so I'm not gonna feel bad about it! :lmao:

My baby was born Sept. 22, so yes, they are just a few weeks apart! princess:

I understand your feeling, although I usually have lots of excitement and anticipation at your point. It's about mid-way through the trip when I start to feel a little low. Usually my first trip in to the parks is just full of giddiness!!! We are just back so I speak from experience!

This time around, we had a late afternoon flight home which is very rare for us, so we actually went to MK the AM we flew home. That was very strange, and I admit I was really more bummed than anything. I just kept comparing my feeling of riding it's a small world from the first day when everything was fresh and exciting to the feeling of riding it the morning of going home, when I knew I wouldn't be back for a while and DS was really bummed about it all too. I think next time if I have extra time on our last day I will drown myself in shopping at DTD or something else!!!!

Try to enjoy it as best as you can...know that we are all here on the boards when you get home!!! I think I have posted more since I've been home than I have before I went!

I feel this same way - even 2 months before we go! It is the lead up to the booking, making the adrs and the planning that are the real excitement for me..:banana::banana::banana:

I know I willl LOVE my time there, but I can't help feeling a little depressed already about leaving. How sad is that ?!

I'm depressed right now too - because I don't know when the next time we will go will be. I'm trying really hard to get DH to do a alone trip at some point, just the two of us, but hes not going for it. If I can't get him to do it, it will be at least 5 years till we go back again. So sad

Yep, same here. Doesn't look like we will be going back until late 2011, early 2012. And that's IF the ecomony is doing better and we can afford to do the cruise like we'd like to. Maybe I should just propose to my husband that we move to Orlando, and then none of this will be an issue anymore!:thumbsup2

I know exactly how you feel. I was ready to pack my bags 2 months ago and now my trip is 2 days away and I'm dragging my feet.
I chalk it up to my anxiousness and making sure that everyone on the trip is going to have a good time but still it's hard to deal with. I've made myself a promise to enjoy every minute of the trip and deal with the problems as they come (and I'm sure they will come!:))
Hope you have a wonderful trip!

I too get very excited when first planning, then it sort of burns off closer to the trip. But mine is definitely a worry thing - about the cats, will someone get sick, or something happen to ruin the trip, etc. But the minute we leave, it all goes away and I'm back to excited.
