Those gold and red scarves

I don't knit, but didn't think I'd pay that for a typical scarf, either.

Until we hit day 14 of our trip, it had been very cold for most of our stay, we were there in WWoHP that morning with the temperature at approx 35 degrees, and we'd had enough.

Money well spent, at that point.

That was like my first trip to Florida, 30 years ago - expected warm weather, ended up wearing the same bright red (UGLY!) overalls for the entire trip, with two shirts and my windbreaker! Now I laugh at the photos, but back then, I was rather disappointed.

I think I'd have had to buy a scarf at that temperature too - wishing you a warmer trip next time!

I've seen probably an average of 25 of those scarves every hour at the parks,and I just don't mean Universal,I've seen hundreds and hundreds of them at Disney and Sea World in my last couple of trips.The most popular is obviously the red and gold one,but I've seen many of the other ones.

We just got back, and I agree 100% -- those scarves were everywhere!!! So, we just had to get them . We bought the official Gryffindor one (like what the actors wore in the movies) from Dervish and Banges. And we bought two others with the Gryffindor crest from Filch's. The one with the crest is shorter and has "Gryffindor" printed on it front and back in big letters. The official one is maroon and yellow striped only without any letters nor crests.

Thanks. We're doing it in September next time. So I'm sure it'll be 120 degrees.

Yes, from our December trip, it seems that there are two sorts of scarves. The less expensive kind are the ones with the bigger stripes and the crests. They are also shorter and thinner, per the TM (who held them up to compare, and yep they are shorter). The more expensive ones are the ones first shown in the pix, no crests, and they are a lovely 34.95 each.

Does anyone have pictures of these two different scarves? The pics previously posted are no longer working (at least for me) and I would like to see the difference in the two. TIA!

Those scarves have to be in the top 5 best selling things in the WWOHP,I think in a trip I did in December last year I saw at least one every 2-3 minutes while at Universal as well as Disney and Sea World,that's how you can tell just how many Disney visitors were also hopping over to Universal.The red and gold obviously was the best seller,followed by the green.
