Those going to Pandora opening....How early

Those of you who are going to the opening day of Pandora, how early are you going to be getting to DAK? I am going to rent a car for my trip so I was thinking about getting there pretty early. It is just going to be me, so I dont mind waiting around once I get there! I just didn't know how early others were planning on arriving!

I was thinking 5 as well. I figured people would camp out, but that will not be me ha!

Parking lots never close. When they had Star Wars weekends at HS for the celebs they would have, people would start camping out by the HS entrance the night prior. They'd bring lawn chairs and sleeping bags.

But we've been stopped at the closed tollbooths at the parking lots before (but it was years ago) so has that policy changed? That's quite a liability for WDW to have to police that space 24/7.

It's not like it wouldn't be policed anyway, plus there are always cameras.

Planning to grab an Uber or taxi from the Swan around 5:40AM and get to the AK gate by 6AM.

We are using a different strategy that everyone else (hopefully!) by heading straight to the Safari at opening and then working our way around EE, Dino and KRR. We have FPs (yes FPs plural) for FoP and NRJ because of the now infamous glitch. FPs for FoP/NRJ are at 11AM and Noon. We will wait until then to circle back to Pandora.

I am staying at ASMo and was planning on leaving there at 4:30. That should give me plenty of time to get there, park, and make my way to the gates to get there by 5!

Not a clue - I need to look up when the park opens. I'm not getting there at 5am for sure - I will not even be awake then. LOL

I figure I'll do the rest of my planning for that weekend when I get back from my trip next week.

Does anyone know if there are plans for a "opening ceremony" for it? I'll have seen pandora already but very interested in any type of ribbon cutting or similar morning activity for it's opening. It's probably answered in the other thread but who has time to scan tens of dozens of pages looking for it and then finding if it's rumor or not..

I'll probably wander in to be there about opening time or maybe 20 minutes early unless it happens another day and then I'll skip.

EDIT TO ADD: there is no preview time slots that it's dark so I'll probably come through just to walk around the first evening or three.
