Taking superheroes too seriously is a real problem. I've loves superheroes my entire lfe, and I've seen how the comics changed from very light, fun reading to very serious and overwrought storytelling. The thing is, the very concept of the superhero is silly - ridiculous even - so when you try to make them too grounded and real, they break under their own rules.
When you're talking about a guy who dresses up like a bat and knows karate going out into the streets to fight crime, if you want that to be realistic, then he gets shot first time out - the end. It simply can't work that way, which is a big problem the DC Comics movies have is that they try to make things too real and serious. The MCU keeps it light and breezy, and yeah, some of it doesn't make sense, but they just wink at the audience with a, "yeah, we know, just go with it," and everything works.
