Im not sure why but we booked our trip this year with Thomson, but we did. Has anyone else ever done so? We've flown a few times with them, but never Long Haul.

Hi, we have flown with Thomson a couple of times to Sanfford. We have always had really good service with them and we are flying with First Choice this year who Thomson have merged with.

I would have no worries at all flying with them.

We have booked our holiday with Thomson, i think we have got a good price too. However this is our very 1st trip to WDW and we have never flown with Thomson so i cant comment on their service, but as regards booking, so far so good.
When are you going?

We are going 23rd April - 7th May 2010

We have booked with Thomson this year due to price and am now really worried about the luggage allowance - how did you all find this?

We got charged $100 dollars on way home. they wouldnt waiver anything. watch your weight. we was on of the first to checkin to.

We travelled with Thomson Flights last year and had no issues at all, excellent service. Much better than when we flew with Monarch (spit!) the previous year. This year we are going with Thomas Cook.

Came back this morning¬
Booked with Thomson but was First Choice plane. Config 2 - 3 - 2

Excellent flight - we managed to go Premium(an extra £99 pp- as we changed just before going- normally £199 extra i think.) Just a little more legroom and a few extras, bigger seatback tv more films etc
Luggage allow for Premium is 23Kg p.p plus 7kg Hand luggage
Economy is 20kg p.p plus 5kg HL

They were very strict on the way back and weighed every piece of luggage and every piece of hand luggage - so thats what i would watch for.

Excellent cabin service. We have always gone with Thomsons/First choice (although I have flown with Virgin once- but rate this as good apart from luggage allowance)as they are the only company to do a flight from East Midlands, which is just down the road from us. Obviously they arrive at Sanford which makes your onward journey a litle longer but we had no wait for car hire and on the way back we were the only flight in the whole terminal!!
