Hi all this will be the 5 time I have been to Walt Disney World, past times we have booked in store but this time I have booked online with Thomson and would like to say how good it was

Ok so it was snowing in uk and after going to and from work in the snow the last thing I wanted to do was to go to town and book so decided to go online, this helped as I have made the 9h flight many times but this time I'm going with my best mate (we call each other brothers) he has never even been on a flight so had many Qs and as we was at home marketing the booking it was good to take our time with the booking we was also able to get excited without any one seeing us jump around (me with my big Micky mouse from past trips) so what did we book and costs ect

Well the 1st 2 visits I stayed on Idrive but as a non driver was fed up of getting told when I get picked up by shuttle or paying the taxi prices to go to Walt Disney world

The every time after I have stopped in Disney any found it to be more relaxed (for me) and the extras are a big plus to me

So we went onto the

thomson site and looked for the same dates as my past holidays and found that we can get a deal with the all in one pack and booked the following

2x premium class flights from Birmingham airport to Sanford int
2x coach transfers to resort
14 nights at a all star resort (don't know witch one until at Sanford) but all 3 are next to each other
14 day park tickets
Return coach and premium seats

All for £2964 for both of us

This price seems good and I know that we will be flying on the 767 as the new 787 with added problems won't be flying from Birmingham

So any one else done the all in ne package and what resort did you stop at?

Yes I have flown with Thomson premium and can honestly say I love it and in my eyes is worth the extra money

Hi Welcome:)

Glad you are so excited about going again..it really is a great place isn't it.:cool1:

Must admit I have never booked with Thomsons..We normally go direct from Gatwick with Virgin Atlantic to Orlando International. This year we have booked all the elements seperately as found package prices to be too expensive and we had some airmiles to use. (we saved over £800 on what VH's wanted even taking into account the proper airfares)

What time of the year are you going? Did you get free dining in that price?

The only reason I am asking is that it does sound like a lot of money for the All Star resorts (value resort). e.g..we are staying at Port Orleans resort (moderate resort) with free dining and also have upgraded on the flight and if I take into account the actual cost of the flights ie not using my airmiles, we would only be paying a couple of hundred more..BUT obviously it all depends when you go and we are in low season (Nov into December).
I dare say that if we went at other times it would have been somewhat more:)

We've booked with Thomson's the past 2 times and for the first time last year we flew premium with them. Can't fault them, we've had no problems.

We've never booked the all in the one package but our first stay on site was at All Star Sports and we thought it was lovely :)

Welcome to the Dis and happy planning!! :goodvibes

Hi we fly out on the 29th September 2013 no the price is not including any meals but its the Birmingham flight and the flight upgrade that has bumped it up a little but we live so close to Birmingham I'd rather pay the little bit more. I noticed that if we was to got 7 days befor we could have saved more but I like to be half way into the holiday on my birthday :).

Its a fair price for a package, being out of season they don't add crazy amounts of profit. Just checked booking DIY.
£1,536 Same flights
£1,355 All Star resorts & tickets (you choose doing DIY)
Less cashback would be around £2,800 all in but as its Sanford transfers would be ontop unlike MCO with free transfers, add those and you are getting upto package price.

To get free dining you would have to book at least moderate, POR with tickets and flights would have cost around £3,400 all in.

Enjoy your planning.:goodvibes

Only 239 days to go and will end up doing the same as always. Getting to the hotel and a walk around Epcot fish n chips and then back to the hotel for the night.

I would love to go with Thomsons from my local airport, but everytime I look it is so much more expensive than DIY. I am tied to the school Hols though.

We've never flown with thomsons from Newcastle.
Flew from Newcastle as part of package holidays previously, but once we discovered the price differences when booking diy, switched to Manchester or Glasgow.

However, next summer we're going crazy and flying from Newcastle.
Can't wait.:dance3:

We live close to Birmingham and as non of us drive we always try and get a birmingham flight,

Birmingham only have a few operators doing Orlando/Sanford so we dont realy have much option to go DIY unless we want to catch 2 flights (no thank you)

have traveled with Thomson a few times and can say we have not had a bad flight yet (but last years landing into sanford was not good, we just come in after the normal afternoon storm and this made the landing rather bad and then all the rest on the flights from the uk come in so the passport Q was huge i rember looking back when we got the the front and seen that the Q had filled the whole room by that point.

I was just happy to get the bags go outside for a *** and the spent about 30-50min talking with the bus driver.

The only other thing that got me on the last trip was the drived from the airport to the resort was, he got on the mic at the 1st hotel and sort of demanded a tip from us all. at this point i like most the pasangers had a tip in hand ready for when we get off BUT

as the driver demanded a tip the cash went back into the walet.

i was thinking
yes he deserves a tip BUT sould not demand it as some pepole on the bus dont have small notes and makes them feel bad not to give a tip

But on the way back to the airport it was the same driver and i did tip him as he did not ask this time :cool1:
