Thomson booking and MDE

My friends booking which is also with Thomson is linked to MDE, it wasn't the first time she tried but it's all fine now.

We were both able to book our 180+10 ADR's so I reckon you'll have no problems doing so either.

Some people on here just love to hate travel agents, yes I agree that most of them don't know everything there is to know about MDE but ask them about any Thomson or First Choice promotion and they will be able to tell you the ins and outs of it. I expect Thomson spend the majority of their time training their staff on products they sell everyday. When I used to work for them, we did one Florida booking every one or two months which meant the information isn't required as often as say a package holiday to the Med or two weeks in Mexico.

Many of Disney cast members you ring aren't fully clued up on everything they sell either. I had one person tell me that Cape May Cafe was at the Boardwalk Inn.

Op, If you went into your travel agents today, I expect that they will need to ring head office for you on Tuesday to get the right reference number which is all they can do on a Sunday or over bank holiday weekend.

Sounds like they are doing all they can, keep us updated on what they say. :)

If I've got the right reference number then I'll be able to book ADRs 180 +10 days as I'm going over Easter it will make quite a difference xx

Parks are busy but restaurants (apart from the usual over-hyped ones) are not that difficult to get.

We were the week before Easter - I booked dinner at YS at the time I wanted a couple of weeks out.

We also had Ohana breakfast again at the time we wanted it booked 3 months out.

The worst time for ADRs if during US free dining most over times it's not that bad.

If you are referring to me I do not love to hate travel agents. What I dislike is poor service. People spending up to 10k on a holiday should expect the broker to know what they are talking about whether they book one a month or one a day.

Thanks for your reply glad your friend managed to link to MDE ok. The Travel agent did everything she could over a bank holiday and said exactly as you have said she will sort out on Tuesday and let me know. You are right about CMs not always having the right answers and they 'sell' Disney everyday.

I'm really sad this has turned into a slate travel agents thread that is not how I meant it to be at all I really just wanted to know if anyone else had managed to link their booking. The TA admitted they didn't know much about MDE but they are doing everything they can to rectify it.
