Thomas Kinkade Disney Dream

My kids' dentist has about 8 TK Disney framed canvases hanging in his waiting room! I LOVE when my kids go to the dentist so I can look at the beautiful paintings! :rotfl:

I saw the Peter Pan one when we were in Disney World last month and loved it. I asked the lady the price and she told me $850. I grabbed my phone and can get the same print from the Thomas Kinkade website for $295. I think the $850 was probably framed, but my family owns three custom frame stores and that was NOT a $550 frame job by any stretch of the imagination.

I would still love the Peter Pan print, but the colors are all wrong for me. I also love the Cinderella Castle one, but have color issues again.

The canvas ones sold at Disney World are different than the ones sold at the galleries, they have extra things painted in them and lots of hidden Mickeys, etc. I have gotten the rest as prints and had them matted and framed (which doesn't look as good as the canvas one we bought framed!) We love our framed canvas and may buy Beauty and the Beast this year. DD was in her HS musical of BTB and loves it.

The $850 one was a print, not a canvas. Canvases typically have more depth to them. That it is the allure. I, personally, prefer a print because my kids would manage to damage a canvas because you can't put glass over it to protect it.

They are so beautiful. Amazon has prints of the pictures from about $54.00.

I saw that awhile back and emailed the seller asking if they were signed and numbered limited editions. I never received a response. My guess is that these are fakes.

ETA: I just saw this in a review. It appears they are fakes.

Con's- Still thought it was a little pricey for what you get. Detail and quality are not up to par with the actual print but still looks decent. Color seems more dull but I would have to see the actual print and this fake one next to each other. Just heard about the fraud that happened with Kinkade, very sad.

Selling this print was tricky on behalf of the seller. They show you in the ad that this is the last print so "you better buy it quick" when what actually happens the print goes out of stock for the day you bought it and then goes back into stock the next day. Not a big deal and I figured that would happen before I bought it. Just be aware since this is not a legit print you will not get the Thomas Kinkade Painter of Light logo that normally appears on the prints. There is the signature which appears on the corner along with the scripture from John that Kinkade always puts in.

Those are really pretty. I personally wouldn't want one with any of the characters in it, but I do like the Cinderella Castle one (with only the small discreet Tinkerbell).

I am so lucky to have two. We bought Cinderella's Castle a few years ago at DHS as our Christmas gift to each other. This year for Valentines Day my valentine gave me Snow White. I love them both and they are proudly hung in our family room.

my amazing dh bought me the Peter Pan last year for Xmas. I love it...

I just ordered the calendar. Thank you, PP. :)

We splurged and bought Beauty and Beast original double-signed by Kincade oil painting a couple of months ago at our Kincade gallery!! I love it. Hanging over our couch. Then we were fortunate and got it Master-Highlighted by one of Kincade's workers on their tour to our city. Next one out is Lion King, but we didn't want that one. When you buy one, you get first dibs on any future ones in the series:)
