Hi
Has anyone ever flown with Thomas cook and if so what were they like (I have only ever flown with Thomson virgin and ba)
Also, if you fly into Sanford am I right that there's no ME, what's the best way to get from the airport to WDW if not driving?
Thanks everyone :thumbsup2

can't answer the Thomas Cook bit but have flown into Sanford before. If you are not hiring a car then I would suggest to look up Mears Shuttles as a cheaper alternative to a taxi because yes you are correct ME doesn't go from Sanford.:)

Mears didn't do transfers from Sanford last year when I called them but you can book in advance with America Coach which is what we usually do.

I haven't flown with thomas cook so can't help you there but we did fly with airtours/monarch a few years ago which was terrible!

You are dead right...The last time we came into Sanford they did but obviously no longer. Its been a while because we normally fly VA or BA now. You can still get a Mears taxi but its about $113 !!!!!!!

If you look at Sanford Airport web site they have loads of shuttle options available.:)

We fly on Saturday with Thomas Cook into Sanford. We have gone with a hire car as we want to be able to get out and about easily while we are there. You can book transfers direct with Thomas Cook, but those were £30. This is our 1st time using Thomas Cook as an airline too so I'm anxious to see what they are like. I'll report back when I return.

if you're several people, those shuttles add up..

you could check into using a town car service....

i assume they'll also pick up from sanford.....

some of the town car services include a 30 minute stop for grocery shopping if you want..

I'm flying into Sandford, albeit with Thomson, not Thomas Cook - does TC not offer the option of a coach transfer? That's what I'm doing (though it ended up costing more than the 'free' hire car!!). Might be worth checking it out as an option for convenience?

Thanks everyone!
I wasn't planning on booking a package with tc just a flight tbh.
Just looking at options for next aug and they seem to be cheapest at the min. Would prefer to fly into mco but will have to go with cheapest really. :confused3

Hi NooNoo,

Don't know where you are in the UK but Virgin have got flights from Glasgow to MCO in August 2012 for £725 each, you can get them about £20 cheaper by going through Skyscanner.

We have booked 4th to 18th August next year. We decided that it was worth travelling in the UK to get to Glasgow as the price is so much cheaper than the airports closer to us.

we've flown Thomas Cook a couple of times into sanford and have had no complaints. It was nothing fancy but was much better than monarch and thomson which we've flown in the past. I actually prefer flying into Sanford than MCO, its less imposing and really easy to get true and from. if you're lucky and yours is the only flight landing then security is much quicker than mco too
