"THIS WAY!" Disney signs

I'm not sure where the most appropriate place to post this is, but this seems as good as any:

On our next trip to WDW, my mother and her husband will be joining us. This will be the first trip to WDW for the both of them, and it will also be his birthday. Of course, we want to really do it up for them and make it a wonderful, wonderful get-together. (I live on the east coast, they live on the west coast, they adore my kids, never get to see them, etc.)

Here's what I'd like to do: We arrive on a Saturday, and will be at the parks Sunday when they arrive. (We're staying in a two bedroom at OKW.) Before we leave for the parks Sunday morning, I'd like to put out a bunch of goofy signs (no pun intended) to welcome them when they get there. You know, like out on the steps a "THIS WAY!" sign with their names on it, and then on the steps another sign, another on the door, in the villa, on the door to their room, you get the picture. And I'd like them to be Disney themed. Does anyone know how I might go about doing this?

I'm not sure, but my first thought is to call the resort (or DVC if you're a member) and see if it's OK to place the signs outside of the room in the hallways and stairs (is there an elevator? If so they may take that!)

You may be confined to decorating the door and the room. You can hang a big WELCOME HOME sign and such for when they walk into the room..

You may want to have a basket of goodies waiting for them in the room. I know one of the Disers makes Disney baskets for guests - can't remember her name, but someone should know.

You may also be able to leave something ofr them with the fornt desk to give to them when they check in. Maybe a map to their room or a treasure hunt map where they find a goody basket somewhere in the room....

It should be fun planning...

Ah - that is something I hadn't even considered: That OKW might not approve of signs in the common areas, even if it is a railing. (Definitely no elevator.)

Although as my husband likes to say - better to beg for forgiveness thank ask permission.
