Waiting on ROFR is soooo painful! The time seems to drag by so slowly. Our offer was sent on Aug 18th and I am constantly checking my e-amil and phone to see if anything has arrived!

I think that this is the part that I hate the most, the not knowing if Disney will waiver or not. Once that part is over it's still a while for every thing to be over and closed BUT at least that part is over and done with.

Wish me luck:)

We submitted on 8/18 as well. And I completely agree...the wait stinks. I'm not really worried about them waiving as we are purchasing BCV and our price seems to be in line with the going resale rate. I just want to hurry up and close so I can start the reservation process. Planning is half the fun! :yay:

If things go like they have the last couple of weeks, you should here something any day now!!! Just hang in there:thumbsup2 :cheer2:

We submitted on the 18th also. I'm not worried about passing ROFR--our contract was on the high side and if it doesn't pass, it wasn't meant to be. I just want to book trips!

I keep hearing about all the problems in our economy and how Disney is offering incentives because things are so slow. With all the posts on this board alone it sure doesn't seem slow to me! These boards must be on fire in a good economy:rotfl:

Good luck to everyone waiting!

We just got email from Jaki that we passed ROFR. We submitted 8/18, so I'm hoping you all hear soon!

ROFR can be the quick part, ESTOPPLE, closing, contract and point loading can be just as frustrating. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but these can take 3-6 times as long as ROFR.

Just got my closing documents today. This whole process started on Aug 4, looks like we will be closed bythe middle of Sept. :cool1: :yay: :yay: :thumbsup2

good luck to you guys...I remember the anguish of the waiting too. Just remember that after your done, you can have years of wonderful vacations to look forward to.:)

I know the feeling but it could be worse. What if you just submitted the offer today.

I'm jealous of those who are at least in the process. We have addonitis and aren't able to act on it at the moment.

Congrats to all those that got through, and good luck to all those still waiting.

We closed yesterday on BWV. Purchased from the estate of our dear friend who passed away last year. Docs were Fedexed to Disney yesterday. How long do you think before I can call DVC Member Services and ask about points? Don't know anything about how this works since we didn't buy directly from Disney. Thanks for any advice.

What is the ROFR you are refering to?
I jsut got the DVC DVD and book today, I haven't watched yet
but you are seriuosly considering buying.

We are waiting too! Our BWV contract was sent for ROFR on 8/19. Congratulations Belle & Ariel :cheer2: Hope the rest of us start getting good news as well!

ROFR stands for Right of First Refusal. Each time a member sells their points, Disney has the right to buy them at the same terms the current buyer is offering. They do this to keep the resale prices at a respectable level and make certain that the DVC is not being undervalued. It has been taking anywhere from a week to two to pass ROFR. We submitted on 8/18 and are still waiting!:rolleyes1 We can't wait to get on with the process and close so we can start planning!:woohoo:
