Welcome to my Pre Trip Report! About 10 months ago I had tried to book a Christmas week trip for my family of 5 and had all of my ADR's made, then had a new positon at work come up and was unable to do this trip. It really bummed me out! Disney at Christmas is a dream that I have and maybe in a few years will come about again, but for now we have made our plans for July 8-15, 2016! We have purchased our plane tickets (which is amazing as we always drive everywhere because air fare for a family of 5 is ridiculous!) so there is no turning back now! I just need to make up my mind on where we want to stay, if we really want to do the dining plan, and where we want to eat! Right now we are booked at Caribbean Beach Resort in a Standard View Room and have booked the Regular Dining Plan with 1 TS and 1QS a day.
As I said we are family of 5, me, my DH, DD who will be 11, DS who just turned 9, and DD who will have just turned 6 before we go. We have been to Disney World in 2014 for 3 short days and stayed at All Star Music in a family suite. We were actually impressed on how spacious the suite was and our location to the main hall. We just were not prepared to fall in love with Disney World from the first step into Magic Kingdom! For this trip my DH only requirement is to stay somewhere different as there are so many places to stay onsite that why shouldn't we stay somewhere else! Last time we were down we did drive (30+ hours from Iowa!) and once we got onsite we parked our car and didn't move it again until we left. This time we got an amazing deal on airfare so we are flying.
When we went last time we went in June so we are prepared for the heat (we actually get really humid up here too) and crowds. I used to say that a trip to Disney World would be a trip of a life time, but the small dose we got in 2014 has my family (well DH not so much) hooked on the Happiest Place On Earth for years to come!
Hope I haven't bored anyone too much and I would greatly appreciate any help! Our short 3 day trip was really for the most part unplanned (had no idea about ADR's an FP+) and before I learned about the DIS! I have learned so much from everyone that I can't wait to learn more and go back!
