where you are? And where are you? Here in central Florida I'm still amazed to see a bit of light in the sky at 7 p.m. and it's only March!

After living near the coast of Massachusetts my whole life, it seems strange to get so much more light in the day. I spent some time in the area near Detroit a few years ago and they really get a lot of daylight. If I recall correctly, during the summer it was still light out near 10 p.m.

I had the reverse shock...I grew up in southern california and moved to new england for college and ended up staying. I remember in the darkest of winter when it was dark at 4pm and being completely shocked over it. I'm more used to it now, but still, what a difference. I'm not sure what time it was totally dark out, but I do remember looking at the clock at 5:30 tonight and being happy there was still some daylight. yay.

Here in Richmond, sunset is 6:22, but it gets dark a bit after 6:30. One of my favorite things about WDW is it's always lighter there longer in the winter. On the other hand, when we were children and visited my grandparents in Canada, I can remember playing outside at 9 pm and it still being very light out.

Sunset was around 6pm and when I got home at 6:30 it was just really getting dark out

Southwestern CT here, and I noticed that at about 630PM it was going from deep dusk to dark.

That's better than 4PM, which is what it's like in December. :cold:

Yes, but we get the sun earlier in the morning!

I will never forget out 1st trip to WDW in October. Up here, the sun is up by FULL by 6AM that time of year. We woke up, I was running around getting the kids dressed and putting the sunblock on, with DH's help. He opens the door, and asks me what time it was. I said 7AM. He said no way, the clock is wrong. I wanted to know what he was talking about, I knew the clock wasn't wrong. He opens the door all the way, so I could see...BLACK AS NIGHT.

That is weird to me. Having it be so dark so late in the morning. :teeth:
