Ok, please forgive my rambling in advance, I hope I can make it make sense.
We are staying at the Contemporary for our honeymoon; 2 nights before our wedding, our wedding night, and then 5 nights after our wedding. We booked a garden wing room because it was convenient, deluxe, had cute new rooms, was on the monorail, and was affordable (that combination rarely happens.)
For our comp night they upgraded us to a Tower Concierge room- Cool you say? You tell me...
We will have to check in to the garden room on July 10.
THEN
Check out of the garden room at 11:00 on July 12 (our wedding day.) The wedding is at 12.
An option she gave us was to do a late check out at 1:00 which means leaving our reception to get our stuff ready and move it.
She also said we could leave everything will bell services in the morning and they would move it, however, that means getting ready and then packing everything and taking it to bell services on what will be an already stressful morning.
THEN
We have to get back there around 3:00 or so to check ourselves in to the new room.
Then, the next morning, we have to check out and move back to a different garden room the morning after our wedding.
It all just seems like too much moving to us. We checked, and staying in the Tower Concierge room for all 8 nights would cost us an additional $2000+ which we don't have!!! I have emailed my coordinator to see if we can just skip the cool room and stay in the garden room the whole time.
That totally stinks because I doubt we are ever again going to be able to afford a $550ish/night hotel room (I'm a teacher for goodness sake.) It just seems like way too much of a hassle, you know?
It just seems silly to care that much about the cool room when we're going to be busy with wedding stuff all day, we have a dessert party until late that night, and by the time we get back to the room it's probably going to be 11:00 or later and we will be exhausted. We have lived together for 6 years, we don't care about all the romance and such!
Then we'll have to get up early to gather everything, check out, and then store things in bell services until we can re-check in at 3:00!!
What do others think? Help!!
