took my car the the carwash yesterday, had them clean it inside and out.

today when dd and I got into the car we smelled maple syrup.

Antifreeze can smell like maple syrup. Did you turn on your air conditioner for the first time? Sometimes if your car overheats, the smell can come through the vents. You might want to make sure you have enough water/antifreeze in the radiator.
