I heard on MSNBC that a woman who gave birth at a hospital (in or near Baghdad) right around the time that statue fell has named her new son George. :D

Can you even imagine giving birth during a time like that?

Thank God she was able to wait until we'd come into the city to liberate it. From what I hear about Sadaam's regime, both she and the baby wouldn't have made it .

As I sit here in my cozy house with my internet-connected PC after dining on grilled steak for supper, I honestly cannot imaging the hardships the Iraqui people have faced and are facing. We can only hope that the new leaders will allow the US to assist them in some ways, and not push us away totally.

(maybe one of the Dixie Chicks will name their next baby George as well)

I have a feeling that a lot of Iraqi baby boys are going to be named George. And I think it's a great honor to our President. I'm sure he appreciates it. :)

I wonder if the nickname "Dubya" will catch on too?

I'm sure there will be a lot of babies named George soon. :)
