This news JUST in RE: AK event map & pin!!

I just got off the phone with WDW Event Services. This is what I was JUST told was decided.

For those registered to attend the event on Saturday night, you will do the Map quest AT the event that SAME night and recieve completer Pin. YEA!!

The next day, whatever maps and pins are left from event will be open to the day guests to do on Sunday.

That's it straight from the horse's mouth. Hopefully this will make many alot happier!!

AND IF YOU ARE RAUL YOU GET TO DO FOUR MAPS BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT THERE ARE ALOT OF POOR SOULS THAT CAN NOT COME TO MEET AND YOU CAN SHARE THE PINS.\LOL.

Help - I'm new at this pin event thing. My friend and I are registered to attend ... this is our first pin event. What is a MAP and a completer, etc.? Is this something in addition to all the other things listed in the brochure they sent us? Thanks for your help! And what's with wearing a boa? You people are really confusing me!

At all of the past pin events we were given a picture map and on the back there are questions to answer, you go to different locations in the park that the map tells to, give the corect answer and they stamp the map. When you have completed the map, at the last location you are given a pin. Also on the front of the map are pictures that corrospond with rack pins designed for the map, they normally sell for $6.50, but you don't have to get them if you don't want to. That's it and it is a lot of fun to do.


As for the Boa Brigade, it is something we DIS'ers came up with to do for the Princess Ball to have fun with. We had a great time doing it and looks like we will be doing it at all the events, the brigade just keeps growing. Hope you will join in the fun!! Looking forward to meeting you, just look for the lime green shirts and you will know we are all from the DIS boards. See you soon.

Wow, that does sound like fun. Do you think the whole AK will be open for this map thing? I got the impression it was just the Dinosaur, Hector area open for the pin event. Whatever, I'll trail along behind all the boas and try to figure out what I am doing. I am really really looking forward to this. I'll be sure to introduce myself to everyone with lime green on! Are you all staying at the same place? We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and figure that we'll probably have to hop a bus from AK to either the AKL or Coronado Springs, then another bus to Downtown Disney and then the bus from Downtown Disney to Wilderness Lodge to get home that night. We had our reservations long before we found out about the pin event. My friend and I are both Disney Store CM's and I've been telling guests in the store what little I know about the event. I stumbled on the Dizpin website one day and read about the event there and it sounded so great! Well, thanks again for the info. See you in about a week.

just follow us, and you will have a great time...but be forwarned that we are all crazy....I mean we run all over the parks w/ boas--no tiaras this time...

I don't know of anyone staying at the wilderness Lodge, but I think that they will have special busses running to the Ak for this event w/o having to go all over property..

They might even have something posted on dizneypins.com about it...I know I saw it somewhere....

So don't be shy..come over and introduce yourself...if you have something lime green, you can wear it...that is the official color of this board.. and the DIS pin color..

Can't make the Friday night. We actually bid on one of those "experiences" on Disney Ebay and Friday is when we get to do all those "goodies". Friday night is our dinner at Yachtsman's Steak House. This is going to be some trip. All this special stuff we are doing.

I was at WDW March 19th for 5 nights and boy was it ever crowded. I sure hope the crowds are down some next week!
