This isn't really a DVC question....with a poll

Which of these would you do?

  • Try to change Le Cellier ressie to earlier time (crazy crazy crazy)

  • Go to a different restaurant at an earlier time

  • Forget Cirque and just do Le Cellier and illuminations

My hubby and I are going out alone one night while we are in Disney next month.

We have a 7pm ADR at Le Cellier but now my husband says he'd like to do Cirque de soleil too. The show is at 9pm. I know we will never make it in time. Should we try to switch our reservation to 6:30 (I know probably impossible bc our trip is in 3 weeks) or change to a different restaurant?
I guess a third choice would be not doing Cirque.

Thanks!
Andrea

Cirque is an amazing show. I've seen it 3 times and look forward to seeing it again.

You could try to make an earlier reservation, I personally would try for a 5:30 ressie, leaving plenty of time. Remember these dinner ressie's are for approximate times, you may not be seated exactly at the time of your reservation. If it is busy, you may have a bit of a wait between courses. Then there's getting out of the park and over to DTD for Cirque.

Good luck and happy planning.

Well I voted for #3, because you asked what I would do, and Cirque doesn't interest DH or I in the least. Also, what kind of Cirque tickets are you going to get when you are only one month away? Won't the best seats already be gone? Perhaps you should put that on your "next time" list.

Since this is not DVC pertinent, we are relocating this thread to our Restaurant Board where you should receive more feedback! Thanks!

why not eat at DTD, like RAGLAN ROAD and then just walk to Cirque. Or even Fulton's or House of blues or Rainforest or Portabella or Capt Jacks or:goodvibes

I would switch to a restaurant at DTD. But I'm one of the minority that thinks Le Cellier isn't all that.

I'd go to Wolfgang Puck's (the upstairs dining room if I want something fancier).

I don't think LeCellier is impressive, either, so I wouldn't miss out on a great evening of dinner at DTD and La Nouba for it. Esp if your DH would just whine the rest of the trip about missing LaNouba for a mediocre steakhouse. Okay, maybe just MY hubby would do such a thing... ;)

As some of the others have already stated ... I would book a reservation at a DTD restaurant and that way you can just walk to Cirque once you're finished eating.

Raglan Road is good and so is House of Blues.

Cirque would be great to do! I think I would change to a DTD restaurant too. Have a great realxing dinner, a nice stroll to Cirque, romantic evening for sure:lovestruc

thanks for all of the replies. i will have to call and see what kind of tickets we can get. good ideas.

Another vote for DTD and Cirque. WPCafe and Portobello are some other good choices.

Depending on when you're going, you probably won't be able to change your Le Cellier ressie. We're going May 11th through the 16th, and I can't get a Le Cellier ressie anytime (lunch or dinner) all week! :sad2: If you're not dead set on Le Cellier this trip, and you can get an ADR, I vote for Raglan Road (our fav DTD restaurant) and Cirque.

go to an earlier dinner in DTD (closer to le cirque) - maybe cap'n jacks, rainforest or the wolfgang puck place

Go somewhere at DTD before the show. Don't miss the Cirque show. It's so awesome. We've been twice and are thinking of doing it again in September. The last time we got our tickets a week before and got good seats.

We actually went to the earlier showing of Cirque and booked a later time to eat at WPC. Worked beautifully and made for a very pleasant evening... loved both! :lovestruc
