THIS is what's it's all really about. The joy. The happiness. The love we have for the man and his mouse. I remember this day like it was yesterday. She wanted me to take her picture with him. But no, she didn't want to sit on the open part of the bench next to the two of them. She wanted to sit on his lap! The pure happiness on her face (and mine every time I see this picture) remind me to slow down, and not get so upset when I can't get this FP or that ADR. The trip is about enjoying the moment, and having quality time with my family.

That's Walt's brother, Roy Disney. He was the one who forged ahead with plans, financing arrangements and construction of WDW after Walt died. Roy Disney died shortly after Magic Kingdom opened in 1971.
