This is us..

I really enjoy This is Us but I'm not really a crier and nothing on this show has made me cry but little OT I have been looking
for a new show to binge watch while running on the treadmill since finished House of Cards, Blacklist and Frankie and Grace. I'm
in the middle of How to Get Away with Murder but will add Parenthood to my list after How to Get Away with Murder. THANK YOU dis!

PArenthood is good just not as good as I see This Is Us being in the short time it's been on.
I hope it ends up being better! But, this last episode it felt like they were struggling to keep the magic in there. It wasn't a good sign IMO. I expected the Christmas episode to knock my socks off and felt like it was hugely lacking.

I cry at a fair number of TV shows and movies. I cry during Code Black a lot. But while I enjoy "This is Us" so far, no tears.

Whew, lol. Glad it's not just me hahaha

I've never seen Parenthood - might have to check it out on netflix.

I'm not a crier and as much as I love this show, no tears. I will admit, though, to getting choked up at a few scenes. The one that sticks out in my mind most was when Olivia (BOO HISS) took Kevin to the wake. When he is talking to the widow in the kitchen about his dad..UGH

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned Beth from the Christmas show. She was my least favorite character up until this week but just like that she is my favorite!! Her sideways glances, body language and snarky comments were just perfect in that episode. "You're shirt's buttoned wrong"..."Maybe a glass of wine will help that?" ha ha she was so good this week!

I also think the coworker, Andy, just ran back inside but I swear it happened so fast that it was unplausible. When Randall looked over the railing and didn't see him on the ground, I thought it was in his imagination again. Too fast.

At first I thought it was his imagination, too. I actually rewound it to watch the scene again. They could have done that a little better.

The suicide scene allowed Randall to discuss forgiveness & love between a parent and child. He convinced his co-worker that he would be eliminating a chance at forgiveness if he killed himself. In the process you could see Randall reaching a different level of forgiveness with his Mother & William.

I agree.

That suicide scene stressed me out to no end. I actually had to pause it (I bought the season on Amazon and watch each episode the day after it airs) to gather my courage to keep watching - I was so convinced he was going to jump.

New episode on Tuesday!!

It is, however, being moved because of someone's speech (The President I think) so check your listings. I PVR it as a season setting so it should be caught at the right time.

I can't for us to get back to discecting it

Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't scroll down if you don't wanna know Toby fate.

Mizzou, how is that a spoiler? It's just a picture, doesn't really seem to prove anything one way or the other.

I agree, that is not a spoiler. Just a picture. He would be on set filming either way, even if he is lying in a coma on the table, or in flash backs, or memories etc. I wish it gave me hope that he lives, but it does not.

My personal prediction is he dies. It's in Chrissy's contract that she has to lose weight for the show so producers could use Toby's death as a form of motivation that Chrissy really needs to lose the weight for her health, not for cosmetic reasons.

It's actually not in her contract. It says her character will be going on a weight loss journey or something along those lines, but it does not specifically say she HAS to lose the weight. I don't think I can post links on here but it's in a People magazine where she clarifies what she meant when she said that at one point. I googled Chrissy Metz weight loss contract to find it.
