This is us..

Does everybody know about the "aftershow" on On Demand? - They pull a couple of clips from the week's episode and have a few cast members sitting around a table discussing it.

I just watched the one for Episode 7, and they talked some about the weight stuff, along the same lines as we have been here.

Am I the only one that noticed Rebecca acting all hurt when she was telling Jack about her day and the guy in the stand briefly interrupted? Then, he said she could tell him later. And he even remembered to ask her to tell him later and then she didn't feel up to it and still looked hurt? What was that about? Did she expect him to be rude and ignore the guy that said hello? I thought her reaction was kinda weird. Am I the only one??

I don't do weed. But if I ever have cancer and am in pain, I will be the first one tooting the horn on the weed train. And I would do the same for anyone I love that was dying and wanted something to help as long as they wanted it. And we are in a state where it isn't legal...yet. It's not hard to get around here. I know people that do it. I don't but I would in those types of circumstances.

We commented on that also. I don't want to criticize Rebecca, but I did think she overreacted just a bit.

OK, but the thing is she compelled him to order the dessert - he was perfectly willing not to. Why does that make him insensitive?

I wonder if this is meant to be a theme in the episode - should you take people at their word, and do what they say, or do we really expect each other to see past what we say to what we want?

Hmmm, interesting idea. Could be. People do that quite often IRL so it makes sense. However, I still find the way she reacted as really odd since the only other option would have been for Jack to be rude to the guy that said hello.

I didn't think too much about it but did notice it. I took it as she isn't feeling like she is heard.

I think Kate is a closet eater. She is extremely overweight and if she is watching her portions, like they always show her
weighing them, she would most certainly be loosing more weight, I think. I think her boyfriend needs to go. I haven't like him from the beginning
and when he pushed her to watch the football game at his house and invited a friend, I was done with him LOL

I felt so badly for Randal and maybe Kevin, now an adult, will see it wasn't his (Randal's) fault that his mother favored him. Maybe he has anger now
towards his mother? Maybe that is how he and Kate have become close?

I don't smoke weed but if I was going to die and it gave me some relief or a family member relief, I'll be right there smoking.

Sometimes I wonder if Edward (is that Randal's dad's name?) is really sick.

I will start watching the after show on Demand.

Thanks for listening LOL

William, and Randall took him to a doctor that he selected who confirmed the diagnosis and prognosis. And we saw the future glimpse of Randall after his passing.

You could be right and although this is fiction, that whole dynamic pushes my buttons. I hate dealing with people who don't mean what they say and can't or won't say what they mean. It's exhausting.

No, certainly not. I thought her reaction was weird as well. i wrote somewhere earlier that I'm not sure her feeling she's not being heard, and seeming not fulfilled is going somewhere in the story line soon.
She seems exhausting at times. But then again I can see myself in her. :rotfl2:Unfortunately. Although I am way more upfront with my needs, thoughts and emotions.

Jack seems more checked in then a lot of men - as a husband and as a father, so sometimes I want to yell at her "Lord Rebecca what would you do with a crappy husband?". :rotfl:

No, is it through the network?

We will probably be blocked up here. Hopefully I will find it somewhere.

Exactly! I love my dh but no way is he as tuned in as Jack. I don't know many men who are, unless they are reading from a script! HA!

I mean who were they in the show? Were they friends of Kevins? They seemed to know him.
Well since the Kevin character is in the industry, I'm sure he would know other celebrities like Seth Meyers. The Manny is a popular show so perhaps Kevin appeared on his talk show or they just know each other because they're celebrities. I believe Kevin did say Seth's name.
