This Is Us- Season two

Yep.

And an aside, Shonda has always said that she was in an awful position as she could not see them separating or divorcing, when Dempsey deciding he was leaving. I felt very little, which seemed strange. I guess because I kept hearing how unhappy Demsey was near the end.

Some ridiculous scenes, but I did like his talking to the doctors internally.

To your list I would add ----

George on Grey's Anatomy - holy crap I remember gasping as I realized what was coming. I was at my parents and I think they thought their daughter had gone cuckoo as I screamed at the tv.

And of course the entire cast of Six Feet Under to Sia's Breathe Me. Sigh, big huge sigh - can't even replay it in my head without feeling way too much.
George from Grey's was one of the best TV deaths ever (and by best I mean best written and most dramatic).

Well I made a horrid mistake and found the YouTube clip of it. :sad2: I got to the scene where Ruth sees her husband and son and that was it. Stopped in my tracks.

---------------

Oh man, I am happy to have a break from the show until the Super Bowl. Too many emotions going on.

As stated on another thread, I believe...unless it was earlier in this thread, the death that was hard for me was Mark Greene on ER. I was emotionally spent after that death scene.

I am in the camp that it isn’t the fire that kills Jack. To me, the show wouldn’t make it so obvious. However, the fire may be the catalyst of events to lead to his death. I am dreading watching the show to see what exactly happens.

Yes, definitely up there in the hardest ones!

And I'll add Kate on NCIS. You thought the scare was over, and then...WAM!

Season 3 is starting to get discussed and we are going to find out more about Jack's brother and they want us to start liking poor Miguel.

A link to a clip for the super bowl episode came up on Facebook. It was a lot of quick shots, but in one you see Rebecca in the jersey and it looks like she is grabbing things so she might have grabbed his plan book on her way out.

The crock pot mania is unreal. Would everyone get rid of their washing machines, furnaces, coffee makers, irons, etc or stop lighting candles if that had been the cause of the fire? Should be more upset that he left it plugged in and the smoke detector didn't have batteries!!!

Kelli Martin has been in several Hallmark movies, in two different murder mystery series on Hallmark as well as several other movies and appearances in tv shows.

I think the whole crock pot mania is just because it confirms a fear. Many of us on this thread have stated that we are nervous to leave it running while we are gone. Some have said they won't leave the house with it on, even though that is the whole point of a crock pot. Others put it in the sink to avoid issues, and others make sure there is nothing touching it while it is on. So, the paranoia is out there, we have proved that on this thread. this scene brought to life everyones fears. Yes, it's silly, yes it's a fictional show, a fake fire etc. We all worry about the crock pot catching on fire, but don't really know anyone that it has happened to. This scene just brings the fear to life.

I think the reaction about the crock-pots has gone too far as well. In the show the neighbor (coincidentally named George for us Grey’s fans) told them it had a faulty switch about 15+ years before the accident when he gave it to Jack and Rebecca. Not sure that many people would remember George’s advice about it the switch that many years later.

As @ksjayhawks mentioned many appliances have caused fires and there were other factors involved in the fire that could have prevented Jack’s death: 1. unplug the crock-pot 2. have a working smoke alarm on the first floor. I understand there is genuine fear out there about leaving a crock-pot on unattended, if you are one of them only use it when you are home and can monitor it.

Plus we don’t know the whole story yet. Prediction: Jack tried to save the dog for Kate and didn’t make it out. This would explain why Kate thinks she is to blame for her father’s death.
