Stinking property taxes!

I was actually able to read everything posted earlier today. I am finally aware of the conversation. It's been a while since I was able to say that. DH keeps trying to hand me Connor, but since he holds him less than 5 minutes a workday, I think he can go a few more minutes.

My property taxes keep going down. It's not good news either. The value of my house keeps going down, thus the property taxes keep going down. My house is worth less than a third of what I owe on it. I will be stuck in this small house forever, since I do not want to damage our credit with a short sale or rent it out.

My complaint with property taxes...why couldn't they pick two other months in the year for the installments to be due other than December and April?

We sold our home on a short sale. The only thing it shows is a late pay. With a short sale the only requirement is you have to wait 3 yrs before you can purchase. I was happy to do a short sale, versus walking away. Even if your property tax decreases at least that is a little less you owe. I wish I still had our home. We are trying to buy but there is one thing that is stopping it. But everything will be gone in 2015. So if I have to wait a while its ok. But who knows if we will be even living here in Ca

Funny you quote those months! Maybe it would be easier on you if you paid them when they are due, October and January!
