Kelly... a trip to DL is really becoming a must for you. I'd love to go back someday. Halloween would be awesome just for the HM decor alone! Wish they would do that at WDW.

Okay time to vent!


I think I have told you in the past that I was trying to get Kody on independent study at her school so that she could make up her missing credits. Well they have fought me on that. She is so miserable there knowing that all of her friends are going to graduate and she isn't that she is giving herself headaches and making herself sick. I having fighting with the school to no avail so I decided to do the next best thing and put her in a different school where she can make up all but 2.5 credits which can be done over summer school. They are fighting me on this now. I am furious. I try to be level headed and I have a very easy going temper but I am past my boiling point. I lost it on the phone with her councilor, I told her that we would find a solution to this so that she gets the help she needs. So she gave me this song and dance about how there was a waiting list to get into this other school and blah, blah, blah. That the waiting list was handled by this other school etc.. Well, I called said school and they told me that no her school handled the list. So I pinned the other school down and they told me she had a good chance to get into the other school but her school needed to set it up. So, back to her school I go. Where her councilor gets rude with me and I have had it!! If they do not give me what I want I will go over the schools head to the districts office and if I have to I will get a medical excuse to get her out of there. ARGH!!!!

I'm sorry to hear this. You may also want to contact your School Board Representative as he/she may be able to help. Or even your PTA president. The more people involved the more they will hopefully want to resolve it ("the squeaky wheel ...")

Unfortunately, it sounds like you have to do all the fighting but I hope you find someone that can get things moving.

I feel like I might have missed something beforehand, but seems like her school gives you the run-around. I would be inclined to do what Marsha suggested as well. Good luck my friend.

Yesterday I was productive and made good use of my Hoover power mop thingy ~ perhaps I'll get to something productive today too. But for now ~

Poor Owen. And poor Love!! It is never easy when your kids are sick, especially when they have a fever.

She's still in a ton of pain. I am hoping that tomorrow she can go back to school but the burn was bleeding last night and it can't be bandaged because it is so large. I am not sure I want her to go to school with it un-bandaged because of germs at that dirty obnoxious school.

Oh yeah Cheri. I put it up on fb. She spilled hot ramen soup on her stomach. She has first and second degree burns on her stomach.

alright so....some of you know already, and some don't. We lost out on the adoption. The birthmom is psycho. She was telling her mom a ton of lies about me, badmouthing me terribly! (my aunt, who is the mom's friend, told me about these things). She is back with the boyfriend, and she even lied to us about his race. He was supposed to be part white and indian...but we saw him and he is obviously not. The actual race doesn't matter but the fact that she LIED about it definitely does.

We are glad we found out sooner than later. We've known for a couple weeks. The day after, we called the doctor, and only the following Monday, we received some very good news. We were on a waiting list for a while...

So we are officially TTC again. Our hearts were shattered and we don't want to pursue adopting through an agency because it's quite a lot more expensive than what we are doing now. Please say some prayers that we will achieve a healthy pregnancy very soon!

I had changed my ticker already to see if anyone would notice, but I figured I probably don't even post enough for anyone to realize. So there you have it.
