Rachel definitely likes Kindergarten more than 1st grade (b/c I got to color more and Mrs. B was so much nicer than Mr. S.)

I have Elie signed up for a music class and a gym class so we've been enjoying those. I had taken Rachel to both of them so it's like dej a vu taking Elizabeth there, esp when they act the same way!

Dinner tonight is spaghetti squash with shrimp and chicken. I've never done spaghetti squash before but everyone says it's so much healthier than regular pasta...hope it tastes good too!

No real fun planned. I will be catching up on laundry because we finally got a new dryer delivered. Ours broke over a week ago. It takes forever for them to be delivered.

Kelly -- great deal on a table! We still don't have a dining room set yet after our fiasco in buying one a few years ago and then having them take it back. We are due for one..we've just been using folding tables.

Glad to see you! And thanks! We're doing back to back IUI's. Probably Thursday and Friday. I just want to get to the end of the cycle already and see if it worked or not. Then I'll worry about how it's going to be handling 2 But it is nice to hear that it's easier with the second one. I'm a little afraid we might wind up with twins but I'll cross that bridge when/if we get to it.

Ooh Kelly, I turned on ANTM last night....I think I only missed like the first 5 minutes. I wish I had thought to find the first episode online! But oh well, I'm sure I'll catch it later. Didn't really need to see it to understand what's going on in that show.

I remember all the girls except that Angelea girl.

Laura was super impressive!


Alexandria...I definitely remember her. I had to see her for the name to click. I HATED her during her season. I feel like she is more subdued now. She is maybe a little threatened by all the all stars??

Well, it got mixed reviews. Elie didn't like it. Rachel liked it but wanted it done more (I made it 'al dente') I really liked it. I don't think Jerry ever tried it (he is a picky eater).

I found a recipe from Martha Stewart...cut the spaghetti squash in half, dig out all the seeds...cover "meat" of it with oil, then season with brown sugar, salt and pepper and herbs (I used fresh basil). Bake for 45 minutes or until a knife cut inside goes through easily. I did only 35 minutes so next time I'll do longer.

Once done and cool enough for you to handle, scrape insides with a fork.

Then I did made chicken and shrimp in a pan, covered with spaghetti sauce and parm cheese.

I think I have told you in the past that I was trying to get Kody on independent study at her school so that she could make up her missing credits. Well they have fought me on that. She is so miserable there knowing that all of her friends are going to graduate and she isn't that she is giving herself headaches and making herself sick. I having fighting with the school to no avail so I decided to do the next best thing and put her in a different school where she can make up all but 2.5 credits which can be done over summer school. They are fighting me on this now. I am furious. I try to be level headed and I have a very easy going temper but I am past my boiling point. I lost it on the phone with her councilor, I told her that we would find a solution to this so that she gets the help she needs. So she gave me this song and dance about how there was a waiting list to get into this other school and blah, blah, blah. That the waiting list was handled by this other school etc.. Well, I called said school and they told me that no her school handled the list. So I pinned the other school down and they told me she had a good chance to get into the other school but her school needed to set it up. So, back to her school I go. Where her councilor gets rude with me and I have had it!! If they do not give me what I want I will go over the schools head to the districts office and if I have to I will get a medical excuse to get her out of there. ARGH!!!!

I'm sorry to hear this. You may also want to contact your School Board Representative as he/she may be able to help. Or even your PTA president. The more people involved the more they will hopefully want to resolve it ("the squeaky wheel ...")

Unfortunately, it sounds like you have to do all the fighting but I hope you find someone that can get things moving.

Several years back we had a problem with a teacher that was just an awful teacher and they wouldn't let me change Kody's class. I wrote emails to every member of the school board and the school superintendent. The president of the school board called me and within 2 days I had her in the classroom I wanted her in. The principal came out where I was sitting and waiting for the kids to come out of the school and yelled at me. I yelled back, I told her that she wouldn't understand because she didn't have children but you never cross a mother over her child. She left the school not long after that. I guess from what she said she got in huge trouble. I will do it again.
