I am feeling a little better.

They are going to see a Christian rock musician named Aaron Gillespie. I like him too so I am tempted to go see the concert myself.

Show sounds interesting.

thats good to hear

You should :thumbsup2

Aw poor Trent... hope he feels better soon!

The beach was very nice this afternoon.... very relaxing! We decided to go a state park not too far from us that we've never been to before. I wanted to escape the college spring break crowd.

What a beautiful place and the beach was practically deserted! What I didn't know was it's a looooong hike to get to the beach from the parking lot! Pretty... but long! Especially with all the gear. But we enjoyed ourselves.

I was a little chilly ... never did take my coverup off! The kids swam even though the water was COLD!

Tomorrow we have Pinewood Derby in the morning and then we're headed to a boat show in the afternoon. We want a boat so bad... not gonna happen anytime soon but we like to look.

Thanks Nicole

He seems just bout better

Sounds like a great day for you guys, despite the long walk

Have fun tomorrow :goodvibes

Yeah, was my pick either

wanted Naimo (sp?) to go

Hey girlie

Glad you are adjusting being back to work

With Trent he was fussy when he slept, so did oragel too

Plus, he drooled like crazy

Yay for a pre trip

You know I am on bored :thumbsup2

Hey girl

a Pre Trip or TR would be awesome

Enjoy the beach :wizard:

Glad you're on board to read my PTR too when I get it started. I knew I could count on my dis buds

Glad you had a great time at the beach and skate park.

Yay for pinewood derby. My nephews do that too.

You can't live in Florida and not have a boat. I hope you guys can fulfill your dream soon :)

oh good

so glad to hear that

Be warned teeth normally come in two...so one might come through and then he is fine and then couple days later, another pops in

Okay, I am watching now

I think I remember who James is

he is the one with squinty eyes and his hair is all twisty at top and he is rocker right?

:surfweb:

I think the reason he squints so much is b/c of his Teurette's Syndrome. Some people swear and others have ticks and such with that. He may even have something else...I forget. I think it's so great that he isn't letting his "ailments" stop him. I don't think he will win but I hope he gets far!

I already told Jerry that if they are touring again to DC we are going to get tickets but this time down in front -- not in the nosebleed section!

H think I might start a PTR for Alex's first Disney trip. It's gonna be in December or February....probably december so we can celebrate his first birthday there. I need tips from other parents out there on taking a child so young. I'm excited for the trip but nervous at the same time. Plus I haven't done a PTR since 2007 or 2008 so I think I'm about due for one. :goodvibes

Hey!, I took Rachel and/or Elizabeth starting at 3 months, 1 year old, 2years, etc.

Best advice is to take it slow...try to work around your normal feeding/sleeping schedule but see if you can do some of that in the parks. My girls were always good about napping in the stroller so we got lucky with that. I always found rides or shows to nurse them/give them a bottle so we could still see things. Also, use that time for one of you to go on rides that Alex can't go on. That way you still get to do some "thrill" rides.

Prepare all the things you need at night before you go to bed as much as you can (food, extra clothing, toys, diapers, wipes, spoons, bottles, etc). That way it's all ready when you wake up and you'll get to the parks sooner.

Take along an empty bag so that when you have to fold the stroller (busses, train, boat, car), you have something to put all the "loose" stuff in.

Pack lots of snacks...a quietly eating baby will get you far at disney, esp waiting in lines.

Definitely use the babycare centers in each park. It's just a great QUIET place for the babies (and you) to relax out of the hustle and bustle of the parks. They have high chairs, rocking chairs, changing tables, air conditioning (although you won't need it that much in Dec).

As I think of other things, I'll add more.

If you have any other questions, let me know.

Also wanted to say that if you wait until Feb to go, Alex will be able to enjoy things more and start to smile/interact, etc, more.

If it were me and I wasn't going to be at WDW again for a while, I'd wait until Feb. Those 2 months will be a huge growth spurt for him and you'll appreciate watching him see everything even more. He might even be walking and seeing him walk/stumble up to a character would be a priceless, precious moment (of course it might be more of him trying to get away!:rotfl2:)

However, I understand you want to celebrate 1st birthday and all the Christmas lights will be up too, and that's a special time too.

So you really can't go wrong either way!:goodvibes

Kelly -- yes, I'm still hoping to do a PTR but it'll be a small one. I just have to get through this consignment sale that I'm doing. I just added everything up and if everything sells at full price (I know it won't though), I'd make $800+ (that's after the % share that the sales people take).

That would be soooo awesome and pay for most of our Autotrain to Disney in May!

The first one as always. Thanks Kelly! :goodvibes

You know it :cool1:

Just think the first two are the worst so it will all be over quickly.

And I am on my way.

I believe it is Teurette's and I do think he is incredibly brave to do this.

I knew that you would have amazing advice for Carla.

Sounds like a good day even though it was cold.

Tomorrow sounds fun!!

It was fun! The boys fell in love with a boat that costs more than we paid for our house! :rotfl: Oh well... fun to look and dream. :cloud9:

*James Durbin also has Asperger's, which is high functioning autism.

Carla ~ all subbed to the pre-trippie! :thumbsup2

I need to vent!!!

This woman that is on Scotty's bicycle team that chases after him sending him text messages and such just pulled a stunt that just set me on the edge. I was just in the bike shop taking care of a few things for Scotty while he is at work. She heard me say something about some preperations for their race on April 2 and she got all ticked at me. Apparently she planned a sleep over that I am not invited to. Excuse me? Umm no! So I told her that we are driving up the day of the race and she got all ticked off at me and started losing her temper. I very calmly told her that my husband and I made our plans together. Argh!!!!

She purposely excludes me from conversations, events and such. Scotty has made it plain to her that she is to high handed and needs to back off. Yet she keeps at it. I was soooo very angry. Now maybe I am wrong but I think she needs to back the heck off now.

Good Afternoon!!

Good Evening Chele :goodvibes

Thanks....will go take a look :thumbsup2

I bet it was the Alpergerger's that I heard about.

Maybe I did....I probably did.:rotfl:

Nice to see you over at the Duffy thread!!

Alpergerger's? Have you been drinking? :lmao:

I've been following along... just hadn't posted until today. :goodvibes

Are you kidding me right now? She was planning a sleep over with your husband? How does anyone think this is okay on any level? She's crazy!

Scotty needs to tell her he is a happily married man and she is endangering herself by being so disrespectful to you and she had better just knock it off.

Kudos to you for being so calm... I'm not so sure I could have done the same. I am pretty ticked off right now and he isn't even my husband!!!
