This is the last time!

Ok, we wanted to buy and put in a bid, we got ROFR and so we took another month to talk about it again. We find a juicy contract at the Timeshare store and DH asks me to wait to call them back and say yes so he can celebrate with me. I call, contract was sold that day! Back to plan A. Another few weeks go by, we found a great friend to refer us and finally made the decision to just buy direct from DVC at SSR.

I was once again waiting for DH to get home from work to make the call so we can celebrate. It is going to be a great day. I am going out the door and the phone rings. Why I answered I don't know. It is Jerry at the Timeshare Store, the juicy contract fell thru with the buyers and it is back up. Do I want it? OMG!!! Why??? We finally made a decision just to buy direct! I have to leave so I tell him to call DH. Then it is cell phones ringing, people talking, emails flying.

We now have contract in for 190 points at OKW with an April UY. As you know my name is April. It has 6 points from 2005 that have to be used by 2007 and 36 from 2006. It is $78 per point with use paying all closing and 2007 fees.

This is the late time we do this! If we get ROFR we are buying direct the minute we get ROFR. I am also not getting upset even going to thing about it this time.

So wish us luck, wish us that the friends program doesn't end and that we come home before 2007.

We are ready with the B plan which was our plan after our first contract got ROFR.

We are going to buy direct if we get ROFR this time. Thanks for all the good wishes and dusting. I am really not so tied up in it this time. My DH is however.

I have to give kudos to the Timeshare Store, we signed the contracts yesterday and it is submitted today for ROFR.

I have noticed that DVC does the ROFR in mass about once every two weeks. They just cleared a bunch on the 27th so we have a few weeks.

Thanks, Tom, beachwarmer, pluto, parkhopper, senecabeach, and elwise1966. It is so fun to see DH the one all wrapped up this time and I am just not really worried one way or the other. After the first ROFR I guess you just look at it differently.

We are just so surprised how this all worked out to get a the contract we had wanted right when we were going to call DVC. Uncanny.

Here we go again, thanks friends. One way or another we should be in around the beginning of the year.

April, For what it is worth, we were ROFRed 3 times and the 4th one was a charm and a BETTER contract. I was starting to think it was not going to ever happen. When we bought this last time, Disney passed it no problem and It was Beach Club with a year of Banked points. I just knew it was going to be the same process. Who can tell what makes ROFR tick. Let me just even begin to explain this day today. Yesterday was the call from TSS that had us back to our favorite contract. Now we wait.

When the call came in I was going out for a job interview at the four seasons. I turned down the job. They called me back today and asked to please come up the resort manager wants to speak with me. Wow, ok, I am going back.

Then for our trip in Jan with DS's Godfamily, I got the call around 6 pm. They canceled. I understand but fell apart anyways. I am still going and now we have to find a Disney resort to stay in. Quickly!

I put in a call to the girls who worked with DS over the summer and they both want to come to WDW with us! One is for sure and the other will know in the morning. It is the first week back at college for both of them and they carry 18 hours.

Again, What a day! DH stayed home today and got to see my day for the first time. I think he wishes he went to work.

April, I really hope this works out for you. We're waiting to close on our first contract (240 points at BCV). A few months ago, DVC wasn't even on our radar screen. But then I had this inheritance coming, and DH said use it on what you want--after much thought, we agreed that DVC would be a great place to use it. Believe it or not, the perfect contract for us came up, we put in a bid through TTS, and that afternoon, I got the papers in the mail on the inheritance. Funny how things work out! But, I was totally calm--I knew it would work, nothing to stress on, if not that contract, something else would come along. It was just a feeling of peace that the person who left me the money wanted to give our family this last "gift". I truly believe that. It will work out for you, too!

I can fee your pain. We too are waiting for our first DVC contract. Made offer on 11/18. VWL, 300 pts, 300 2006 banked, $87 per point, Seller pays MF for 2006, we pay 2007 MF & Closing. The wait is killing us.

What does Disney put in the water to make someone want to write a $26,000 check. lol
