I just got off the phone with my mom, my sister got stuck in traffic and wasnt going to make the bus dropping of the little boy she takes care of. Since we are good friends of the family and they live next door to my parents, my mom went out to meet the bus. ( which isnt anything new, we all watch him) well this time the bus driver wouldnt let my mom take him. I can understand that its a safety issue but because his mom is a single mom and works full time and has up to 3-4 people watching him and his sister in a given week, there are 10 people ( ijncluding my sister, me, my parents, even my grandmother) on the emergency list for pick up and to be waiting for him when he gets off the bus. So now the poor thing had to go back to the school,so my mom could go back there to prove that she is on the list. Whats the point of having a list if they will only drop off to people she knows? Now I am supposed to watch them next week and I need to go over there one morning when his mom is home to be introduced to the bus driver, or she wont let me take him off. Its almost easier to go to the school and show an id and pick him up early ( which I have done before!), instead of packing up my daughter and meeting the mom at 8am to be introduced!
