This is stressing me out: should it?

Gah.. I had just talked myself out of this! Mostly because I'm having trouble finding a hotel.. the Hyatt at the airport is ridiculous expensive for the night I would need if..
We have stayed at places recommended by MouseSavers just outside Disney property a couple of times for that one day gap. Done a little shopping at the Outlet Malls in the afternoon we arrive. But then we always have a car.

Actually, you don’t even have to wait until you get off the plane. Once you land, you can switch to data. It usually takes a while to get to the gate and unload people.

My husband has used the wifi on SW a little. There might be issues when the plane is turning to land/descent. Also, we think that not every SW plane has wifi.

Before Covid times, I traveled for work.. a LOT... like, weekly....and it was 95% on Southwest, so if this eases your mind any, you *technically* start getting data on your phone when you are on final approach, you don't have to wait until touchdown...by the time you hear the landing gear being extended or you see flight attendants take their seat, you usually always have data....... :smooth:
(just be sure to turn wifi OFF and force your phone to use data instead).

And you are correct, *most* but not *all* SW jets have wifi - and sometimes it's not functional, but it generally is - I routinely use it en-route for work, and find it generally reliable - if it's on, it's good... but it's not always on, if that makes sense. (I'm in software, so I have heavy usage via my laptop.. something like MDE app from your phone should be a piece of cake comparatively!)

if the advertised arrival time is 7:35, is it Chicago time or east coast time? If the latter, I guess your actual touch down time might not be that late, but in that case, it is a problem if you are above the altitude where wireless are operational at 7:00am. Bug hey, it is a ride that is not very well rated (reference: YouTube PoV), and it is your vacation, do not be stressed out by it...

It would be 735 central so 835 Florida time

I've seen ROR sell out of ILLS, but not Remy. I don't think you would have any problems getting it at 8 am or after
