For Christmas we usally get our 2 nephews gift cards. So this year they will be with us at Disneyland. So I go to the local store and look at there display of gift cards. Normaly we give them $20 each.

So as I am looking at gift cards they have 3 $15 cards, a Mickey mouse card for $25 and then they have a card that you can put $5-1500 on it. So I say to my self would they like a pink card with the princesses on it:lmao:

It was the only card there for Disney that was flexible in the amount you go put on it.

Going look at another store but thought it was funny. Wife said we should get it for them.

I'd give them the Mickey! $20 doesn't go as far as it used to :)

My husband's grandma used to give us $25 for Christmas. When we were first married, we could get a full dinner with drinks for that. By the time her last Christmas came, we could use it for coffee and a muffin.

umm $20 at Disneyland is not very much... most stuffed animals cost $14 and tax...I'd just give them a little more..

Yeah may have to up it.

Just found it odd there was not a "boy" themed flexible card

haha imagine their faces if they got princess cards.
but hey money is money regarless! It does seem kinda odd that they didn't have a more universal picture on the flexible card, like Mickey. Maybe they did but they sold out?

I'd probably go with $25 as well. But also, you can get gift cards at disneyshopping.com I think, and those are loadable with whatever amounts you want on them. :)

I get your funny OP...even if the others are fixated on the amount of the gift.

If your nephews have a sense of humor I'd get them the Princess ones....after all they're going to be in Disney and it's money, who really cares what their card looks like!

Of course, my family is rather wacky in their sense of humor.....I still have a photo from about 30 years ago on my wall with the horrified expression on my brother's face one Christmas morning when he unwrapped a DRESS.....oops, mom had put his name on my dress. Funny, I didn't react the same way to find his Tshirt, lol.

The Princess cards could be a family joke that you all remember 30 years from now.....just like I always hand my brother a flat shirt box at Christmas and tell him I think he'll look lovely in this outfit. We burst into laughter until we're crying. Ok, I said we were wacky....maybe outright strange is better, lol.

Several years back when I was working for Barnes & Noble, the store ran out of generic no-amount cards about a week before Xmas. A few days later we ran out of $25 cards, then the $50 cards. So people started putting whatever amount they wanted on the $100 cards ... the customers had such a great sense of humor about it, they would just take a Sharpie and write "Its $25, sorry I'm a last minute shopper." and say "Yeah, my family knows I procrastinate". :lmao:
I like the idea of getting a predesignated amount card, putting the amount you want, then putting a post-it telling them how much is _actually_ on it.

:lmao: My Grandmother used to tell one of my brothers that he was going to get panty hose for Christmas.....:rotfl2: I think the Princess cards are perfect, always need to have a laugh!
