You will have to ask Nancy (Meriweather) that question. I am very new (my first exchange was the regional cookbook one). I volunteered to keep this exchange at the top of the CB, since Nancy was going to be out of town. My best advice would be to PM her for specifics!! I wish I had better info for you!

Hey Gasbode....this is a quote from the first post......so yes I would think that votives would be fine!!! A Yankee candle is still a Yankee candle regardess of size right!

In past YCE's, we signed up to send a small jar ($8.99) and then could send extra if we wanted. I think that Nancy means that we are to purchase at least $8.99 worth of candles. It will be your choice how you go about doing that.

Of course, Nancy will be back tomorrow and she can clarify this for us.

my pocketbook is just about $100 lighter.....first there were the tarts just about one of every flavor..OK not every flavor but quite a few... that I decided to try, well of course I had to get a tart burner...thank goodness it was 50% off, then of course we needed the plug in air fresheners for the house.....bought 5 (that might have been overkill as the 2 I have plugged in right now, 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs) have stunk up the house rather nicely. Oh yeah, gotta have the car jars and of course we need at least 5 this go around...and what was the real reason for coming to the Yankee Candle Store...thinking...thinking....oh yeah the exchange!!!! Duh!!!! Got a great candle...something new and of course a few trinkets to add and then off to the Disney Store. Got some cute things there as well....so I have my box packed and ready to go......just *patiently* waiting for my name!!!!!!!!

The small jar (8.99) is just a guideline. You con't have to send a small jar at all. It was just the way this exchange had been worded for the minimum, since last summer's.
You can send whatever you want..............some people prefer tarts, or votives (right, Kirby ? ).
It is just a baseline...........so I hope to see you join in Gaspode.
