First you have to be really crazy to even think about doing this because once you start....you will have a countdown counter like me!!!!
If you decide that you want to participate in an exchange you PM the person in charge...in this case it is meriweather. Let her know that you would like to participate and how many candles you would like to send/receive. Sometimes there is a limit of one exchange per participant, but this is not the case here....so if you send 2 candles....you will get 2 candles......let her know in this case likes and dislikes if you like then patiently or not so patiently wait until the names are drawn. Meritweather will then PM you your sendee(s) wi th addresses and pertinant information and the real fun begins. You go out and get the said exchange item (while some like to include other goodies as well) and send it to your sendee. When you send your package be sure to post that it was sent...this helps meriweather keep a good eye on what is going and coming.....and then when you receive your package you post that you received your package as well. It is a joyous occasion to send and receive. After this exchange you will be hooked and your chilren will go to school in old clothes as you will now have no money for the important things in life like kid's school clothes....you will however have bought into to so many great DIS friends and you will be the envy of the exchange boards and everybody will want to get a package from you....Did I explain this good enough...have I forgotten anything????
