This is not a postcard..Mods $109..feb 19- Mar 31

I booked a DL for $109 earlier tonight and got the ressie with no problem. Then I saw a post in this forumn titled "florida Resident Discount" I just happen to click on it since my friends are from Fla and might meet us at DW. The discount was the same code as we all have been using. Then only catch at the end of the promotion was "proof of Florida Res. is needed".

Did anyone else notice this. Could two promotions have the same code and not have the same requirements? I am not a Fl resident, does that mean I will not be able to use the rate.

When you booked your room you had to give an address (obviously not Florida)since they have to send your confirmation to you. Kinda hard for CRO to send a confirmation to, lets say, Nebraska with a "proof of Florida residency" requirement. Just get that confirmation letter, that's all you need.

Thanks that makes me feel better. I will wait for the confirmation letter and read every word on it to make sure no other strings attached.

Can't wait to go!!!

Has anyone called, yet, to make sure we won't be in trouble and have to pay full price when we get there because we aren't Florida residents? The CM at the CRO didn't mention a thing about that! Gulp!

They are probably running two specials with the same price--one for out-of-state and one for FL residents. How they market these specials will differ. I really doubt they'd goof so bad as to mistake you for a FL resident when you give them your address. They do follow a computer-prompted script when filling in the information. You'll get your confirmation in a few days. In the meantime, I think too many people are fretting here. If everyone keeps calling back CRO and asking "are you sure" "are you sure", it's going to cause headaches for them and tie up their phone lines--and if the promotion causes too much trouble with repeat calls of this nature, they could just pull it to get rid of the hassle. So everyone--take a big breath and relax!

Good Idea SueP.

I will wait for my confirmation. I will feel better when I have that though.

Plus if it is legit I want as many people to be able to get the good rate I did.

I called CRO about two hours ago and when I asked about the code, she wasn't sure and put me on hold. SHe came back on and said there was a special promotion and it was available for my dates (3/9 - 3/17) at DXL, CBR and CSR. I gave her my MA address and she never questioned it. SHe never mentioned about bringing in a post card at check in. SO I feel comfortable about it and after sending in the deposit, will cancel my reservation at ASMo for the same price as I got DXL.

Just called today and got $109, she did ask if I got a card and I said no, just disney insider special code CRH and for 9 nights, she said it was $1087. Question is how long before you get written confirmation or should I have asked for it via e-mail or does it come after you put the deposit down?? Thanks

Does this rate apply to one night stays or is there a minimum number of nights you have to stay?
Anyone know?

Its for a minimum 3 nights at the Moderates but is only available on specific arrival days (between Feb and 31 Mar 01) and for a limited amount of rooms. Thats how we assess after talking to CRO to change our reservations.

Tried to post last night--but something was screwy here. About the amount of time from making reservations until you receive confirmation notice--I made reservations on November 5, my reservation envelope is postmarked November 8, so give it 5-6 days.

Thank you so much for posting this special for the moderates!!!!I have been sooo stressed out just trying to find the best deal on a hotel for our trip in March. I was pretty much figuring on staying off-site for the best deals. We have never stayed on-site before and really wanted to, but I couldn't justify 175.00 a night for a room. We have 5 people in our family, so the value resorts were not an option. Now with your help, we get to stay at Dixie Landings this trip!!!!!
We will be in the world March 3-9!!I can hardly wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :)

Yes, it was on a card.
No, you don't have to be a Florida resident.
Yes, you have to stay 3 nights.
WE GOT THE CARD! ... and darned if it wasn't in my stack of mail as I walked in the house returning from 3 days at WDW. And sorry, I tossed the card 'cause after 3 days at BWV I was too broke to need or want another 3 day trip.

Shelly,

Thank you again!! I called and changed my ressies from Allstar Sports to Dixie Landing for only $4.xx more per night!! Woo hoo!!

I have been skipping over this post for days as I usually don't have alot of time to go over boards each day and I usually go by the title of post before deciding if I will read it or not and I just didn't go into this one.. I am so glad I did!!

The only moderate resort open on the days we will be there in March was Dixie Landing, but the man I made my ressies with put me on hold as I told him I wanted to reverify that I did not need any other codes or postcard as I did not want any problems when checking in.. He put me on hold and came back after checking and said that I did not need anything else and I would not have any problems... He said that they were running 2 different specials at this time, the one for $109 per night and then another one that was from a postcard and he said in order to get in on that special you had to have a pin#..

I am so happy as we stayed at the asmo last year and simply could not afford one of the moderates this year, so we were going to the sports resort, but I am ecstatic that I got in on this deal..

You guys are one in a million! :D  :D
