This is more exciting than planning for months . . .

We're going to Disney World this Friday -- and I just made the reservations. Our APs expire Sunday, and we just had to go one more time. We're staying at Fort Wilderness for the first time --I asked for the cheapest AP rate for 5 people I could get. We will leave Friday morning, drive 8-9 hours, then stay at WDW for approximately 50 hours. Those two days will include (we hope) e-night, a ride on Mission Space and a couple of yummy meals. We'll arrive home exhausted on Monday evening, but I bet we'll think it was worth it.

Now, I must get off the internet and finish a freelance project. I've freelanced for 19 years and am really tired of it, but, alas, the $ is an important element in my vacation budget! Knowing a freelance payment is coming in August will help alleviate my guilt about opting for on-site instead of the priceline hotel we first said we would do.

Have fun. We have some AP's that expire late in the next 90 days. We got our money's worth out of them, but I wouldn't mind squeezing in a few extra days. Have a nice trip. Are you renewing your AP's?

Micca -- At this point, we're saying that we're going to do something else next year and give Disney a rest. We also said that it 2001, and we were right back there getting APs the next summer. So we'll see. In any case, the soonest we would return would probably be next summer. I would renew them only if we had a trip coming up real soon -- I think it makes more financial sense to just pay the little bit extra to get new passes if your trip is months away.
