Gosselin, who also made the cover of People Magazine over this shocking affair with the notorious "party girl," made no attempts to hide his relationship, as he held her hand and dropped thousands of dollars on her during their endless shopping sprees. He even talked openly about their budding romance to the magazine, claiming that couple have been "family friends for several years and only recently began dating".

Even worse is a video by a photog at the airport in which Jon tells the camera that Hailey stayed behind in France and he only returned because "he had to get back work" filming'Jon and Kate Plus 8' (not because he missed his eight kids or anything).

Man, where do I even start with this one?!

Well let me just say that we at Parental Guidance have never been overly critical of Jon Gosselin. We've all watched the destruction of his marriage on TV over the years and think Kate could have been a bit nicer and respectful to her hubby.

However, Kate's snark is NO excuse for Jon asking a 22-year-old party girl with a reported drug conviction to be his step-baby-mama!

If he's trying to lose custody of his kids, he's doing a pretty good job with this new antic.

Stepmother potential for 8 kids all under 10? Um, NO.

Even classier is the alleged engagement ring from Edouard Nahum, featuring a skull surrounded by four black diamonds.

Fantastic choice........NOT.

We understand Jon if you wanted to disappear from the limelight and do your own thing, but this screams of a sad and immature mid-life crisis.

I hope these reports are untrue for the sake of your kids who have to live with the very public mess you are creating for them.

My opinions? First off, Jon is insane. He JUST got a divorce and now 20-some days later, he proposed to some chick. WHO IS KATES PLASTIC SURGEONS DAUGHTER.

While their off in France, with that girl showing off her $180,000 dollar ring on her finger (yes that is NUTS) Kates back home with 8 kids all under the age of 10. Not to mention shes going camping with them, shes playing with them she WANTS to be around them. Jon's coming back from France because he has to work, not because he wants to see his kids! Is that not crazy-talk? I know Kate is bossy and yells a lot, but shes always been like that- its who she is! Jon's making a fool out of himself. La-di-da-ing away in France with his wife-to-be whos wearing a skull 180,000 dollar (sorry, dont know how much that is in the UK) ring. Agreed, we have truthfully no idea what exactly is happening, but with all the things Jon agrees too, that he accepts doing, is outragious. I feel bad for all the children, shouldnt have had any of this happen to them and for Kate, I mean who wants to have this happen? Maybe this is Jon's way of getting out of his divorce with Kate- to start a new marriage. We dont know, but we know he is having a lot of problems right now.

I hold no judgement against either of them for their actions in relation to their love lives as I don't think we'll ever get the whole truth about what really happened.

But, I really do feel sorry for the kids. They deserve better.

That's weird that In Touch says that cause according to Star magazine, him and Hailey are done and now he's going out with a former Star reporter.

But if him and Hailey are engaged, I think that's pretty horrible. First off what kind of engagement ring is that? That skull really shows what kind of girl she is. And I really don't think she would make a good mother. And Jon should want to go home to see his kids, not cause he has to work. I thought Kate was the bad one. But now she's the one who's always with the kids. But some tabloids say she's is mean to them and that's really unfortunate cause they (for the most part) are all good kids. It's really bad that their parents care more about money than anything else.

i thought he was a grumpy gus during the first few seasons, and then he became a pansy for about a year, and then he got really mean in the last few seasons, and started being hateful about everything (particularly the fans and paparazzi whom he used to be upset with kate for her dislike of them)

but now, he's seriously just a skuzz ball who hasn't realized that you're not only a husband and a parent when you want to be, its all the time, all day, every day, for the rest of your life. you can't turn it on and off.

he used to judge their lives in "season" when they would do commentary on the show, which upset kate. i think he has a lot of issues that haven't even surfaced yet.
