Like I say - you don't just "fall" off a cruise ship. You consciously do something stupid (and I could getting drunk and sitting on the rail as a conscious choice), you want to end your life and jump, or someone throws you overboard (or forces you to climb over the rail to get away from them).

Unverified, but talk on a cruising forum from someone on that sailing claims that the kid's dad took the video, and that he was pulling other stunts like this around the ship.

Wow, my Carnival rep called an offered me a free cruise on the Liberty. Evidently there had been some sort of issue with ships power on a previous cruise, and they had to redo Liberty's sailing schedule and had cancellations, and it was sailing without being full. It would have been on that cruise, but I had already made other plans to be out of town at that time.

Shame on parents who take their hands off the wheel of parenting. This is clearly an attention-seeking behavior. If it is true that he was unsupervised much of the time on the cruise...so sad that he feels he needs to do this to get attention. ....and I agree with all the PPs that this family needs to be banned ...for their own good.

the claim was, it was a bunch of teens playing a dare game all over the carnival ship and filming each other....not the dad...

On the Fantasy on saw a family balancing their toddler on the railing during the Pirate Party. They weren't even holding on tight to the baby. It made me so nervous I went and got a crew member. The CM told them to stop. They took the baby down, but as soon as the CM walked away, they put the baby back up. I couldn't even stand it. I went inside.
