This is Hilarious! Kind of OT?

I agree this post offends me. I hate that commercial, I don't find it funny and I think it is an insult to WDW. I don't care what you say about sea world or universal but please dont disrespect Walt Disney or his parks.

it actually is quite funny...that whole commerical just means universal is going down hill they need a strategy and the pic making fun of disney, bad choice in a sense. They have more class than that, ok maybe not;)

Cpt.jack- Front is like the most off topic person i know! You should see the fourm she tried to make  (which basically Skater Front and me going off topic, it never came back on topic it is actually quite amuzing)

If I was Disney, personally I would thank Universal for looking like a money hungry political figure (just like those political figures trying for office who end up losing because they only try to attack the competition instead of standing on their on grounds. ) I am sure Disney has profited off that commercial as much if not more than Universal.

My thoughts EXACTLY!!! :thumbsup2

Excuse this OT side note for a single moment, Thanks!!!

Patchy...that forum I started is a lost cause! I don't even remember what each thread is actually about!! :rotfl:

As far as commercials go....I think this one is very clever. I liked it...it made me laugh and obviously did what it was intended to do which is stick in everyones minds...lol

Love Disney, Love Universal....who cares!!!! Everyone is entitled to their own likes and dislikes and no one is entitled to judge others for their opinions.

Oh I agree..it is just reminding people that Disney is in Orlando and is the more popular of the two destinations!

the only thing i remember is a a bunch of moments, spamming, and skater is a jerk! That was the best two weeks of my life!;)

It was indeed quite funny. But it reflects terribly on Universal and their marketing team. It is always the lesser of two commerical competitors which mention and insult the other either directly or indirectly, don't you find? You never see Disney's ads going 'Sick of those tacky beetlejuice shows and the overrated rollercoasters? Come here! We have the rights to Cinderella!'.
I know it isn't a game of football, but they're sorta admitting defeat, which while it was always apparent they were the lesser of the two resorts, they always strived to have the same ego as Disney.

It doesn't make me want to go to Universal, either. Which doesn't help their sliding attendance.

You must have our Forum on mind, huh!? :lmao:

Maliboomer, you basically said what I have been saying for the last couple years in debates between WDW and Universal lol. I mean, you even said it in a way where it almost sounded like I said it! :rotfl2:

^^ I think you've said that before.
I have so many long lost siblings!

You know, on topic or not, changing other people's quotes is pretty pathetic and surely a sign that some people are clearly not mature enough to be posting on forums without parental supervision...

Other than that, I happen to *love* those Universal commercials. It just shows how desperate they are for the business. I've lived in Central Florida for over a year now and have yet to visit any of the other non-Disney parks.

Ok - my turn. I like the commerical - it is true when little girls get over the princess stuff they want action. We went to Universal Studios last year - due to a nice AP price posted on the DIS. The rides were great - I am a coaster girl. As for service, nothing compares to Disney. Universal is not Disney - but I went for my coasters and of course other rides.

Give it a try. I will be there tomorrow baby - chilling by the pool at the Hard Rock Hotel then catching my coasters. :thumbsup2

Wow! I'm surprised at some of the reactions here to that commercial. I personally haven't seen it, but it sounds like it is a very funny commercial. I would laugh, I'm sure! Hey, as much as this girl loves her princesses princess:, I also love Universal Studios as well. I don't think this reflects negatively on Universal at all. :confused3

Comercials have been doing this for YEARS why do some people get so upset when it has to do with Disney?
Some of you might be too young to rember the Wendy's comersial "Where is the Beef"
It was a direct insult to Burger King and McDonalds. Pepsi and Coke do it constantly.
Its called Marketing. No, Disney never has to do this because...well...they are DISNEY!
They could have no comercials at all and still pack all the parks!

Personally I love Universal. Can't beat Margaritaville  lol And the Mummy and Spiderman rides absolutly rock!
To each their own, and that is the point, don't judge! :rolleyes1

:stir: :woohoo: :happytv:  :stir: :stir:

You people crack me up!

I did not mean to start a debate over marketing stategies! :confused3

I personally love all the theme parks and water parks and have been to every one that is in central Florida. :thumbsup2
