Hello! I'm Elsa and this is my first Pre Trip Report! My boyfriend and I will be in Orlando in less than two months! Our dates are Oct 19th - Nov 4th.
This is going to be our first trip to the world. We live in Spain and planning this trip has been (and still is) an adventure that I'd like to share with all of you!
So... This is us!
Elsa & Mikel
I'm from Barcelona and he is from Bilbao. We started dating back in 2007 and I moved here in 2008, we both live in Bilbao since then.
Bilbao - I miss Barcelona, but love this city so much!
I'm 26 and I'm totally obsessed with rollercoasters, theme parks and Disney since I was a little girl.
While in High school I studied French and went to Paris for some weeks staying with a French family, it was amazing, and of course I visited Disneyland Resort Paris! I already was in love with Disney, but it was the first time I really felt the magic of a Disney park and it was so special!
I really love to travel, and during the last years we've been almost all around Europe. We are backpackers so thanks to trains, cheap flights and youth hostels we have seen a lot!
My first job was also in a theme park, Port Aventura. It was part of the Universal park family back then, and I loved to work there.
I also love animals, horror movies, Halloween, crafting, shopping, make up and everything that involves spooky, cute, pink or sparkly things, I'm just a little weird!

What can I say about him? Well, he is the best boyfriend ever. He likes Disney and theme parks but not as much as I do... I was afraid that he would not want to spent that much time and money going to WDW, but when I told him that I really wanted and needed to make this trip he really got involved! This trip is a very special dream that I had for years so I feel truly blessed right now, I can't believe it's going to come true!
Last year was not the best for both of us, I had some health problems and spent a month at the hospital during summer and later in november his mother died after a long disease.. We really need some pixie dust and I'm sure that this trip will help a lot!
And of course, I have to introduce her! Vero, our tiny chihuahua! She's so cute! (We were sharing a macaron that Mikel bought for us in Paris in a recent two-day trip)
By the way, as you have probably noticed english is not my first language, so please excuse me if I mess with it sometimes

Hi I think your English is very good, we are also from Europe visiting DW for 18 nights from September 21st. It will be interesting to see if you have a similar view of Disney. I am travelling with my son who I first took to DW when he was 3ys old in 1987 and we have returned for his birthday for the last 25 yrs. We are real Disney nuts and have a great time I am sure that you will have fun and make lots of memory's.

Going to DW is such a wonderful way to celebrate your son's birthday!! I'd love to do the same someday! Well, we don't have kids yet but I'm sure that they will love Disney as much as I do...

Hello! So now that you know who we are, I'll try to explain what are we going to do in Orlando!
Disney
My original reservation was for AOA, I really love the Little Mermaid, but since Free Dining was not offered there I had to change our reservation and now... We will be staying at POP Oct 19 / Oct 26, with Free QS Dining!
I'm sure I will love POP and it's only a short walk away from AOA so we will be able to go and check the resort without having to ride a bus!
Non - Disney
We will be staying at the Days Inn Universal Maingate (walking distance from Universal) from Oct 26 to Nov 4. We will visit both Universal parks, Sea World, Busch Gardens, attend Halloween events (more on that later) and will also have a couple of days for shopping around the outlets and malls
Disney schedule - We are testing Magic Bands and Fastpass+
After a very long flight I think the arrival day we will relax at the resort and maybe do some shopping at DTD. Next day is for DHS! You can see our FP+ selections and our ADR at Sci-Fi!
Monday 21 - Epcot and Magic Kingdom (we have hoppers). Chefs de France ADR, Ratatouille is one of my favourite movies so I really hope to see the little chef!!
Tuesday 22- Magic Kingdom! We are not attending the MNSSHP that night so we will visit the Poly and see the fireworks from the beach!
Wednesday 23- DHS, 50's Prime Time ADR and Epcot Food & Wine night!
Thursday 24- Animal Kingdom! Please ignore Epcot, I don't know why is there
After Animal Kingdom we'll go to enjoy our first night of Universal Halloween Horror Nights.
Friday 25- Full day at the Magic Kingdom, YAAY! We will attend MNSSHP that night and have dinner at Be our Guest! Beauty and the Beast is my favourite Disney tale so... Can't wait, I'm so excited!!! Such a special last night at Disney.
Saturday 26 - Bye Disney
We will check out, shop at DTD and then pick up our rental car at Disney car care. We will drive to tampa and attend Howl O Scream at Busch Gardens!! So excited, did I tell you that I love Halloween? Well, I REALLY DO!

Saturday 26 - As I said we're leaving Disney this day, but we will attend Howl O Scream! (Busch Gardens Halloween event). We have express tickets and I also bought tickets for the additional cost "Haunted house" called The Experiment... - "Researchers challenge your fear tolerance and mental endurance in this never-been-done-before Experiment. In this exclusive study, test subjects endure psychological tests and must face top fear-inducing elements, from roaches and snakes to needles and darkness. How far is too far in this study of fear? Will you survive The Experiment?" - I know, we are crazy
Sunday 27 - Islands of Adventure day + Halloween Horror Nights!! We have a Frequent Fear Pass with Express so we will be able to attend more than one night and skip the lines!
Monday 28 - Universal Studios day! Mikel can't wait to see the new Spriengfield expansion!
Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 - Shopping around Orlando for me and some free time for Mikel, he doesn't really like to shop but I can't resist, too many shops that we don't have here in Spain! We will go to Old Town one of the nights too... Yep, I think they have a new haunted house there!
Thursday 31 - HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We will enjoy both Universal parks (we have hoppers) and our last night of Halloween Horror Nights!!
Friday 1 and Saturday 2 - Busch Gardens and Sea World days!
Sunday 3 - Both Universal parks + late night Minigolf and a very special memory from this trip, I'm getting a tattoo! As I said this trip will be a dream come true so... I will get this on my foot!

Camo and spikes Mickey! I love this one, I think it's really unique.
My favourite! I wear this one at least once a week. I love Frankenweenie so much. I've seen the movie a dozen times and I always get so emotional, I had a Bull Terrier years ago and well, I can really understand Victor's feelings... Sparky is so precious!

I bought all of them at Primark (minus the Frankenweenie one, that's from the Disney Store). They were all a steal, between 3 to 12 Euros each one. Every time I go I come back home with 2 or 3 Disney items at awesome prices. I will probably go again next month, just a few days before the trip

Just started reading , we will be in Orlando the same time as you, we arrive on the 17th October - 20th October, and than will be back from the 24th November. This will be our first time attending the Halloween parties and we both can't wait. How exciting you were able to get a Be Our Guest reservation, we were able to secure a ADR too,which my sister is looking forward to, Its her favourite movie after Brave.

My 13 year old daughter would LOVE LOVE LOVE the camo Mickey one. I have never seen anything like that one. Will have to do an internet search now and see if I can find it. She wants to wear camo every day of her life right now HAHA
Trip sounds fun although I am a scardy cat and don't like haunted houses etc HAHA.

I love camo too, when I saw it at Primark had to get it!! Hope you can find something similar around the internet, I'd try on Etsy and Ebay
I love that there are so different Halloween events out there, there's something for everyone!! I don't think I would be able to choose between scary and not so scary Halloween events so... That's why I will attend everything!!

I found you from my PTR, and I'm so happy I did! Your trip sounds like it's going to be so much fun, and much needed magic after a hard year!
If you have some free time, I'd definitely check out the HHN thread! there are a lot of really great tips and so much information about the event! Like, the days you're in Universal before HHN, you can do what's called "stay and scream", where you don't even have to leave the park before the event, and get a head start on crowds!

I posted a couple of times asking some details about the express pass that's included with our tickets.
We bought the Frequent Fear with Express and we will attend 3 different nights so we are not worried about crowds but I'm sure that we will do Stay and Scream at least once, because it sounds so cool.

Would love to join you for a slumber party in the castle!!! Some of my shirts that I have bought for our trip are also from Pyjama sets, they always have the best shirt designs!! I recently bought a Bambi, Ariel and Tink shirt from a shop called Peter Alexander.I know what I want to eat as well at most of the places we have selected to be eating at thanks to all the food reviews and reports on the Dis!!

Hello! As I wrote before, I love crafting. I have already made some envelopes and stuff for restaurant tips and mousekeeping.
After the trip I will attempt to create my first scrapbook album about this magical vacation and right now I'm starting to think about finishing some special jewelry pieces I have in mind. So, hope you like my stuff
Here you can see the small mickey cards I made for mousekeeping. I will put the tip attached to the clip so the bills are secure. I will write something nice in the back of the card. I really apreciate mousekeeping work and I think it is very important to say thanks!

Alice charms! I love Alice in Wonderland and also sweets so when I saw these charms I had to get them! I'm still not sure about what will I do with them, but I think that the white chocolate one would be a really cute necklace!

Girly compact mirrors! Alice, Cinderella and Snow White. I'm in love with all of them. I think I will create a couple of necklaces with the Cinderella ones and use the other two as bag charms.
Minnie ring! This one is from my Etsy shop (yep, that's my shop logo), I made 3 of them and since I was in love with the design I decided to make one more for me to keep. I think it's really cute!

It really makes me happy to know that I'm not the only one that already knows what to eat at Disney months in advance and also buys Disney pyjamas to wear like normal clothing
I'm really thankful for the existence of the DIS community, it's great to know that there's a lot of people out there sharing our love for Disney
I can't really talk about this trip with my "real life" friends, they think I'm "a bit" crazy spending all that money and travelling from so far just for "Disney". Guess what will they say when I tell them I will really try to return as soon as possible and make it a family tradition
Well, I don't really care, today is our 50 day mark and can't stop doing the happy dance! -
